Like i said, better we had bad luck on field, injuries and players out of form all in the same season.
If we have little injuries, players get into form, heck some players may even have a career year and some luck on the field we prob make top 5 .....
Of course players do not forget how to play. I am quietly confident of 2019.

What’s the difference?

If one is of lessor quality than existing players in similar position he IS depth.
If one is of better or equal quality than existing players he forces them (the existing player) down the pecking order, thus he creates or ADDS depth.

I believe you are right and agree with you. He certainly wasn't purchased as a "depth player".
He became one because he didn't live up to the expectations the coaching staff had of him when he was purchased. Any attempt to suggest otherwise is just puerile.

Agree too. Evans signed a 3 year deal. Not many first graders will sign a contract that long to play reserves with the odd game of grade. Especially a player in his mid 20’s. Let’s not forget BA picked him in round 1.

Is it the player that’s the issue or the coach? Have a look at all of BA’s signings, have any really improved? Who’s been BA’s best signing??? Gower? Not many new players under BA could be considered good, over their duration of contract. There’s been a few players that have had a good season, only to dramatically decline the following season.

Most of BA signings have been ok.
Foran and Watmough where nightmares but we come out of them fine. We havent let anyone go who we regret.
MJ to be fair was when we where rorting cap and so was Wamtough so we prob where cocky and didn't care about contract costs as much.
As soon as Foran went from 800k to 1.2mill we turned on him very very fast.

Forgot about brown. Was thinking gutho, but he didn’t have a great 2018 (injury I know).

Gower has been an excellent purchase as he’s never let anyone down and I doubt he was on big coin.

Peats was signed by Stuart and so was Mau. And I'd hardly say IDG was a great signing, he was good when Peats went down but offered little else after that.
