All games are played at same time on Suncorp. The round starts with just one ball but extra balls will be added for errors and penalties that don’t otherwise effect the other teams. All balls remain part of play though. The NRL have initiated multi try rules where if a team plants multiple balls concurrently for legitimate tries then they get conversion attempts for all tries at each try spot e.g. two tries equals 2 shots from each location for 4 shots total. All conversion attempts must be taken concurrently as well

This sounds better than the current set-up for the magic round.

Cowboys didn't let Kikau slip through. Penriff offered him a shit load of money to come down, same thing happened with Peachey when he was at the sharks.

Obviously the Cowboys Recruitment and Retention bloke couldn't see the future potential in both Ponga and Kikau otherwise they would have at least matched the offers. I reckon both were stolen from Cowboys for a pittance of what they are worth now.

Kikau still was a work in progress. He was taken in 2016 once too old for 20s and spent season in reserves. He also spent most of 2017 in NSW cup.
I doubt he was signed on silly dollars. But whatever he was paid was most likely poor value as played only a handfull of games off the bench over first 2 seasons. It wasnt till 2017 that they re-signed him for longer then re exteneded.
