Man this needs its own thread.

Foran was a great signing. There was no way to foretell what would happen.
Hoffman, I think, was a good signing - I just wish BA had used him more (especially at fullback).
Beau Scott was a pretty good signing.
Hayne was theoretically a good signing - for a host of reasons.
Michael Jennings was a great signing. He's had one bad year. He'll be good this year.
Re-signing French was stupid.
Whatmough was the most insane signing I've ever seen.
Evans has been incredibly disappointing. So far he's an absolute dud. Difficult to say whether it was a stupid signing (we don't know how much he cost) but if he was intended to be a regular first grader (which I suspect) then I think some warning signs should have been heeded.
All the rest would have been incredibly cheap.
My main criticism of BA's recruitment over five years is not necessarily each individual signing (apart from Whatmough), but the overall balance of the team. After five years without a decent hooker, we end up with an absolute rookie in the sixth year. Same could almost be said about halfback (we have an erratic, relatively inexperienced half in the position of mentoring an absolute rookie). And fullback, which has been a bit of a problem for the last five years - we have an honest, very good footballer, who is not a specialist fullback; and a flashy, fast, but fragile specialist fullback whose career is at a crossroads.
I know there's been some bad luck along the way for BA, but going into his sixth year, we still don't have a well-balanced side, and don't have any 'stars' in the spine.

Weren’t you the one the other day lamenting the loss of Auvaa size and what not, and whinging that everyone had written off Mennings?

I said Auvau size was missed yet cause along with Semi it was strong. BA replaced them with pint sized kids.

MJ will come good. He will play like a 400k one. Better then a 200k one we had in 2018. Still 400k overs.

Beau Scott was rubbish.1good season followed by to injury prone garbage no better then what Gower could produce. Actually less.
MJ for 4 yrs? f**k. Dummy alert....2 clubs already wanted him gone prior to contract ending. One more time for the dummies. Give him 4yrs.
Foran never had the TA or LBAs to pay him that coin.
Hoffman has spent majority of time in Wenty. He'd deff be on half decent coin.
Hayne. What was the point of a 1yr deal.To go through the whole circus of will he or wont he sign.
Matagi and Vave would of been on modest amounts. I'd doubt less then 200k however.

Moses signing is also questionable at this stage.

I was going to tack that on to my post originally.... Definitely wasn't making him a world beater being the best in our pack last year...

He played 4 games and was injured in 5th.

BA either tries to polish turds or overpays for has beens.

Everyteam gets them wrong. But BA has atleast this season bought quality and guys at good ages.

I would contend that Isaac was a decent hooker, and the plan was for Kaysa to succeed him. It's only been bad luck with injuries that has ruined this plan.

Everything else you said, fair enough.

Gee, If I stay back more then 15mins I do atleast 30min so can charge it out.

Which is fair enough, mate.

I work hard, and I'm proud of my work ethic - but I've been working 60-hour weeks for 8 months (and getting paid for 40 hours' work), and I stay only because the money is ok. I've been looking for other work, but there is nothing that compares in terms of salary, and with an ill wife, and a property on the market, looking to be sold so they we can upsize...

It's tough at the moment. I hate my job.
