He's not a pillow, but he makes dumb errors and he folds like a deck of cards when he hits the line 19/20 runs. All his energy goes into acceleration.

I think you answered the questions here. I doubt Peni is the brightest kid and also doubt has had the best education. I am unsure of any of this or his upbringing.

It would be less common however that more inteligent,educated players from wealthier families come with as many issues. Maybe its time we just recruit these types ?

Or we can try and help these guys more. People do not behave like this for no reason. He has been part of this club for 10yrs and anyone who wants to just sack him show little compassion. If a guy like Lane or Norman played up then yeah sure. But Peni is part of this team and gives his all. Lets atleast give the guy the benefit of doubt.
How would he be if went from 150-200k a year too a 40k -50k pay packet. Its easy to say just sack him without knowing how much will effect. He may lose his house,car,family over this ffs.

Kid? He's 27 FFS. He knows right from wrong. He has form with a similar issue last year. I don't give a f**k how he might be if his pay drops. He should have thought about the priviliged position he was in earning 200k before having 2 alcohol related incidents in as many years AND hiding it from Parra both times
