Only 2 from what I can see...Sam Burgess and Jason Talmololo. And they both play big minutes. Peni plays much shorter minutes than them.
Shit. Forgot about JT. Still, there are only 3 other forwards and they all play on the edge and play big minutes.

I’d be knocking on the door at Cronulla and be grabbing one of their forwards. Even if we promote a kid to the top 30, we still have a spot don’t we?
Can’t see them letting go of Fifita or Woods so who would you go for...Prior or Seumanufagai?

More to the point, if you make horrifically poor decisions on the piss, don’t drink. Ever again.
I have a mate who is a fantastic bloke would do anything for anyone, but as soon as he’d have more than 3 beers he was the most annoying prick who ever lived. Once he got pissed he would be an outright danger to himself and anyone around him. 15 years ago he decided he didn’t want to be that drunken hated merkin anymore and he hasn’t touched a drop of Alcohol since. And it’s not like he had a well paid footy career to protect and save. As I said earlier dumb merkins.

Peni needs to be sacked, sent to a rehab centre and given the season away from the game. The NRL should then allow us first crack at re-signing him. We endured through all those years of him dropping the ball constantly and now that he's starting to come good he fails to tell the club the times he's a dickhead.

Athletes shouldn't be drinking alcohol anyway. We know that it negatively affects the recovery process and performance

They shouldn't eat anything but fruit, veges and lean meats also. Or take party drugs.
Reality is most will. It is about limiting the amounts and when its done.

Most elite NRL players are physiologically deemed "risk-takers". So it's hard to take the male idiot out of the player. As much as us grown men will roll our eyes at some of their antics, these merkins are wired to be dickheads.

I'm saying they shouldn't be drinking because we know the adverse effects of alcohol on the recovery process and performance. Saying they're predisposed to being idiots is a cop out and allows the culture of getting drunk to continue. But I guess "boys will be boys"

This article refers to adolescents and young adults, not sports people as a subgroup. Even the majority of adolescents and young adults don’t take the risks these idiots are taking so this sounds more like an excuse than a reason.

It's not a cop out. Moreso it is an acknowledgement that elite sportsman are also prone to be high risk takers. Add to the mix high incomes compared with their age group and the likelihood of them getting involved in dickheadness is exponentially higher.

Just saying that some kids will be able to pull their heads in and some won't. As much as it is astonishing to us that some seemingly never learn, they are just wired that way. So don't expect it to go away.

I am sure that we could collectively come up with a list of players who had the world at their feet, only to circum to innate dickheadness.

Don't agree. Not saying we should tolerate it, but I think it's silly to expect every kid to be a choir boy.

I think we can considering their wage and the fact they have agreed to a code of conduct that clearly outlines the behaviour expected of them.

If they don’t like it or feel they can’t comply with those standards then they can choose to take a labouring job where their risk taking may be more tolerated.

Also, the majority of offenders this offseason would not fall in the adolescent, or even young adult, categories so what is their excuse?
