He keeps saying that this is Moses’ team. He hasn’t learnt a thing and it’s overrated, sporadic problem children like him that have let him down.
Who else’s f**king team could it be? Moses is our most experienced playmaker. We have no choice but to take the risk.

You can’t possibly be blaming Moses for our form last year. Having said that, if Moses is poor, he is BA choice.

He should have bought a steady halfback like Chad Townsend in the off season. He didn’t/couldn’t because he is a terrible recruiter in vital positions. Our goal kicking will also be our Achilles heel this season and he hasn’t addressed that either. Moses is lucky to hit the side of a barn.
Moses kicks as well as plenty of first choice kickers. And Townsend wasn’t available. At the time we signed Moses he was the best available. You should be hoping he gets back to his best form instead of death riding him.

OK.

So let's assume the Sharks are willing to let Townsend walk, given he's under contract. Why would we do that if we rate Dylan Brown so highly? And it's not like Townsend is a sharp shooter either so that still fails to address goal kicking anyway.

From our perspective, we'd have signed a player who isn't a very good half or goal kicker to address an issue in the halves that could very well be solved by the highly sought after junior that Townsend would be blocking out. It doesn't make an awful lot of sense, especially when Moses is coming off contract this year

Moses was pretty bad last year, along with most of our players. Something went terribly wrong, and they were all out of form.

Some nitwits have decided Michael Jennings is now a reserve grader ffs

We should have f*cked him off which we tried to do. But we couldn’t because BA is shit at that stuff. Blake Green, Chad Townsend even that Croft kid from Melbourne could have all been looked at. Moses is not a halfback and never will be. He is a running number 6 who needs a dominant 7. We already have one called Brown which is why Moses should have been shown the door. He is surplus to our needs.

Parramatta have many advantages also.
*one of the best and long history of success in it's vast jnr base.
* Rich league's club backing
*Central Sydney location and corporate advantages through its large city.
* best stadium in Sydney.
* huge fan base

Our tpa's will climb as we ditch the bad boy culture.

Missing the 8 is definitely like winning the spoon in my opinion.
The problem with people like pau pau is, they've become accustomed to losing, and have become happy losers.
We should never accept anything less than top 6.
Yes to all of those yet what has Parra done to harness those advantages. SFA!
Moss wanted to change our culture somewhat and what did we do, shun him. Some bullshit about him wanting to privatise the club, would never happen, but at that time would probably been the best option. We were a rabble both on and off the field. He could have bought the big end of town to Parra along with all the sponsorships and TPAs. Doubt he even thinks about Parra now. And still what has the club done to get more TPAs? Obviously nothing because we have none.

You weren’t complaining about Moses prior to last year. Suddenly he needs a dominant halfback to take the pressure off him? He plays best on half the field, like every running halfback. It’s why teams can play well with two of them.

If Moses isn’t worth his money this year we’ll let him go when his contract is up.

All that is living in lala land .... other clubs will have access to the stadium too. Its not ours. The city of parra means sweet f**k all. Juniors are there to be stollen. But yes we have a fairly rich gambling den that is true
This is the real beauty of having this great stadium literally in our own backyard and other teams using it. Don't think any other club has the huge advantage. The dollars that flow thru the club on game days is enormous. I can see this club moving up the profit ladder when it finally becomes operational.

Prior to last year (2017) he was good. In 2018 he was garbage. Why then did we tell him he could leave ? because of my complaints? Or did they see something?

Well none of us are likely to know for sure, but it seemed more like a "we want to keep one, but lose one" situation where we didn't really mind which one stayed and which one left.

They definitely clashed in terms of wanting to run the side last year

As for the support staff that I chose in my post, like Johns and Ennis, they are elite for the specialist positions that they coach, halves and hookers. Bellamy and others wouldn't be going back to that well over and over if Johns didn't offer more then your average specialist coach and as for Ennis, he is very, very good at communicating his knowledge and all current players know what he brings and would respect that on many levels.

As for the other two, they are old hands and experienced campaigners that are at the top of the tree in what they do. They were all just suggestions and obviously not set in stone. Cronk is the real target and he would obviously have a say in who he would want to assist and support him. My point was more that we should not hold back and skimp on our football department anymore and buy the best when available.

As for Cronk being a great coach, It is my opinion that he would be if he ever were to want to have a real crack at it for all the reasons that I have already stated. The only thing that I see as an obstacle to him having a great coaching career is television.

As for your suggestion Pou that Walters is more our speed. Of course you would suggest that. Mediocrity is your go to safe place. Champion!
I am not squashing your idea(s) however there is now a cap on what a club can spend on it's football department. Cronk would want 20% of it from whichever club he coached at, which would not be smart economics.

A football department cap of $5.7 million will be enforced from 2018 onwards, with head coach and assistant coach salaries, and training camps included.

Clubs will have until 2020 to get under the salary cap, and if they do not they will be taxed 37 per cent tax on whatever they overspend by.

NRL head of strategy David Silverton noted that the decision to enforce these caps will allow for clubs to maintain financial sustainability.

"By putting the cap in place it will help ensure that our competition remains competitive and even," Silverton said.

"It will also help ensure that NRL clubs do not overspend simply to keep up with other clubs.

"And that should help our clubs remain financially sustainable."

Both were free to go.
