Salmon is only a baby and has already shown that he is up to the defence at NRL level. He threw a nice pass to Kaufusi yesterday who ran a superb line. Salmon is a keeper too. Maybe he will end up playing lock ? I have not seen enough of him to think that he will be a gun centre.

I'm referring to real quality spine players here. He at this point is a nomad. He hasn't shown anything other then that he is up to first grade. I couldn't say at this point that he is the sort of spine player that you build a team around and he isn't a Bronson Xerri superstar in the making either. He may end up being in the Greg Bird type down the track, who knows.

Early days Ram. Give him a chance. I agree he's not going to be an elite 5/8 but give him time to find what he is going to be. If he turns out to very good in another position then good shit for us and him eh?

Intersting what they do with Rheed. Seems like a lot more hype surrounded Schneider. There would be others who could tell the difference of quality between the 2.

Time will tell on Schneider, but at this point it would take a hell of a player to unseat Reed from being the preferred dummy half. I mean, even a year or two down the road, Mahoney will be bigger, stronger, fitter, more experienced and overall probably 20-30% a better player then he is now and vying for QLD SOO selection. And the energy he brings to the team is immeasurable.

Schneider on the other hand will be just coming into NRL strength and fitness standard. A bird in the hand, as they say, or 2 birds in the bush?

Who remembers NZ rep hooker Richard Swain?

2 in the bush and one in the hand. You always no how to cheer a man up when he is down.

Exactly. No one remembers him even though he was the incumbent NZ hooker because Scum dumped him for #CAMillionaire and he disappeared to UK after only 6 NRL seasons

I remember him.

He was f**king good. Tough as a leather camel
