Has Moses signed yet?
No....Has Moses signed yet?
Now that we've re-signed Gutho for what I consider top dollar where do we play him next year? This sums it up perfectly...
Now all focus and energy towards winning on Saturday and working towards making the semis..
No more excuses, no more contract talk ( except for Moses who I'm sure will extend soon). After he is done then hopefully we are selective with recruitment for nxt yr and beyond. I think we should be a after a front rower and a centre as a minimum.
Have to keep strengthening the side. Build around the core of the team now..
In reality how many do you think BA will let go? Not many would be my guess. Hope the Recruitment and Retention Committee are more realistic and let most walk. Hell, if everyone off contract was let go I wouldn't shed any tears for them. Imo we need a good cleanout!According to the Squad Succession thread, we need heaps more players. We only have 13 merkins contracted next year: https://forums.leagueunlimited.com/threads/squad-succession.437729/page-109

I consider his best position is centre and not fullback. Imo he is too slow for the position and is more a supporting fullback than an attacking fullback. That is why I consider he is best suited to centre, and the two current centres should be let go at end of year. Potentially we could have Gutho and Ethan Parry (or any other recruit) as the centre pairing next year. With Salmon I'm still to be convinced he'd make a decent NRL player and probably be let go at end of his contract.
Presently the Storm have a plethora of good young fullbacks at their disposal who've all been taught by Billy Slater, not a bad teacher imo. I think we should go hard to obtain one of those. Forget DWZ, not fast or skilful enough for me, one of Scott Drinkwater, Jahrome Hughes or probably the best of the bunch, Ryan Papenhayzen, would enhance our attack.
Is for a centre. You obviously didn't read past the first line, probably too long for you to remember the content.Since when is 650k top dollar?
Gutho will be fullback. Now that we've re-signed Gutho for what I consider top dollar where do we play him next year?
Moses is in charge of the attack. A supporting fullback is what we need. Although he looked fast enough running away from the St George defence 2 weeks ago.I consider his best position is centre and not fullback. Imo he is too slow for the position and is more a supporting fullback than an attacking fullback.
Salmon is at worst a 'decent' NRL player. Young, big, good pace and plenty of potential. Better judges than you or I have identified that. With Salmon I'm still to be convinced he'd make a decent NRL player and probably be let go at end of his contract.
Ethan Parry hasn't come anywhere near first grade yet. You are happy to gut Salmon but are advocating a total unknown.Potentially we could have Gutho and Ethan Parry (or any other recruit)
No....
So he can go and get f**ked!!
Are you at least optimistic about some of the juniors developing nicely? Reed, Oregan, Stone, Brown, Stefano? Niukore has been good.Hell, if everyone off contract was let go I wouldn't shed any tears for them. Imo we need a good cleanout!
