If we landed Hastings with Vae - Brown and perhaps a prop like Mautilino/Mclean with a few back ups in the backline ( G.jennings/Sio) I reckon we have the making of a top 4 side.

If we sign Brown we won't need or have room for another prop. Certainly Matulino or MacLean aren't going to come to be third or fourth choice, and neither are Vave and Brown.

Mannah and Brown starting, Wicks and Vave on the bench, Alvaro and Terepo as back ups.

I think Hastings has huge potential. His only risk is his personality, but if Arthur's is happy with that risk then so am I.

I can't see him having much of an attitude after an off season with BA.

Is there room on the bench for Taka to come on and run the edge ?

Yeh I think Taka will start at centre unless injured he seems a BA favourite and a good guy to have in the club too. I really like him. Gutherson to the wing?

The way Arthur has been using his props I think Brown would take Alvaros spot as starting prop as wicks has been starting off the bench lately.

Maybe, but by the same token I'm not sure he'd have left Souths (if he has) to go from on bench to another. Maybe Wicks might start, but I can't see Vave as a starter either

French is a demon finisher...he was good at the back this week but really it was just another exhibition of finishing ability. He can do that on the wing.

Yeh I tend to agree but also I'd like to see Bev get a bit of muscle (not much) if he is to stay on the wing or else he's going to be shown the sideline quite a bit. Both players have huge upside for the fullback spot. Guth obviously has the playmaking ability while Bev has the supporting role that is so attractive and I can see him being a bit like Slater in the support department.

Also the positive of Guth at the back I think defensively he probably can handle it already.
