I think the viscous fish has made more of an impact the Tepai in attack Both are the same age and it will be interesting to see who ends up the better player. Tepai is a more solid defender thou.
Tepai needs to be used as a weapon. They use Manu as there beast mode. When we are 10 out Tepai is the guy we should isolate as the main man on the end of an attacking raid. We play differently thou-We use our wing as the end of a set move 90% of the time.
If you look at stats for all forwards most average about the 8-9 mtrs a run. Unless put in a bit of space you wont make a break.
Tamololo is a genetic freak. Not another forward in game like him.

Funny enough Terepo is our best defending PROP. Missed only 13 tackles all year and made well over 600 tackles.

Tepai just doesn't realise how good he can be yet. He's happy to just play a bit-part role in the forward pack surrounded by a lot of much more experienced blokes he probably grew up watching.

Some young kids come into first grade cocky and not afraid to chance their arm, so they can look like superstars or dunces.. others are happy just to be there and just do the basics.

When I see Tep play I still think he is hesitant to take that next step and become a leader, which is completely understandable he's not even 21 yet.

Just wait until the Penny Drops.

He's probably still wondring whether or not to give the 2018 Commonwealth Games a go for shot put.

Wasn't the only reason he didn't take this year off for the Olympics because he was injured at a key time in the preparation/selections?

I would love it if Tepai ended up modelling his game on Boyd Cordner. They have similar length and explosiveness and there are a quite a few similarities in how they play already but Cordner plays with more nuance (which comes with experience, to be fair) in how he attacks his edge.

Cordner also plays 80 minutes on the edge. Moeroa moves to the middle when Edwards comes on.

Fair point but I don't think it invalidates my thoughts completely. Ideally you have your edge forwards locked in playing 80min and Tepai might be capable of that but Edwards is a terrific weapon from the bench on the edges. I still think we prioritise Moeroa's development on the edge over the middle.

I think some people underestimate Peni Terepo. He has come along in leaps and bounds this year. Really stepped up for mine. I also like the looks of Alvaro.

Point is we are well stocked in the front row.

Just because you don't like the accusation, doesn't make it no true, whether deliberate or unintentional. My feeling is that it is unintentional, but when a person is constantly brought up as part of a public joke for being a loser, directly or indirectly...well you work it out.

I was having a dig at your former vociferous advocacy for our signing the bloke. But obviously you know what's going on my head better than I do.

I wouldn't say that I have no sympathy for the bloke, but plenty of more worthy chaps have been given fewer chances.
