Any player today can just walk out of the game or out on a club.

Yep. I can see them being 1st and 2nd choice for back-up but neither are ready for full-time first grade, but will be good enough for 8-12 games.

I'd say "going to be over the cap" is their problem

And it looks like the fix is wearing paying some of their roster to play elsewhere.

The one thing they all had in common was they were okay at most things but really over all fairly average at everything. Kind of like the type of all-rounder that T20 produces. A lot of the halves in the NRL are like that now such as Cleary.

In my opinion there are too many of those types of player in the NRL.
