Of course everyone’s entitled to an opinion, but it’s the manner in which they retaliate always looking for an argument or looking to belittle people. A certain few here need to be reassured consistently that everything is rosey at the eels. Heaven forbid if anyone speaks out of line and makes as innocent comment about our attack needing some variation/tweaking. I haven’t posted a great deal since the gf and I make a comment yesterday and all the huggers come out in force.

As a general point I agree entirely. I'm not sure the current discussion has been that uncivil though. (maybe I missed something). FWIW I agree the 2017 and 2019 draws did have quite an impact on our performance. But I'd also agree that it's our defense that has the most work to do. They're not independent though....if your attack is crap your defense is always under pressure and the opposition start in good field position. If your defense is crap you're always starting in your own corner.

I can corroborate this story. I certainly didn't know Pou was there until afterwards.
However, I did see a guy standing on his own and occasionally glancing towards the meet up group's direction.
I had no hesitation in going over and asking if he was from the LU forums. He most certainly was. He is an occasional poster on here and has lots of numbers in his forum name.
Also, later on that afternoon, another guy came up to me and asked if I was Suity. A West Australian Eels fan who likes horses. I had great chats with both of these forumites that afternoon, and it was great to meet them.

In hindsight Pou, it wouldn't have been that hard to introduce yourself. You would, no doubt have been welcomed to join us.

Anyway, maybe another day, the opportunity will arise.
