Rumours and Stuff

I think we may underestimate Jennings contribution to our improved defence. He has been very good defensively.

His attack will improve once we settle on our halves.
I agree, Jennings has improved our defense more than our attack.
He has also done some of the dog work to get the ball out of our own end to help the forwards.
Problem is because he is fast everybody thinks he is playing crap if he doesn't score 3 tries a game.

I remember when Gasnier was playing left centre. He would sometimes pop up on the right and make a play on that side

Jenning has been a massive disapointment from an attacking poit of view.
Ans he must have glue n his hands. What a hog.

I think Jennings is going fine.
He wasn't the problem with out attack. He needs the ball with time and space. He was getting very little of that. His defence has been great. You could tell how much we missed him when he was out injured.

Jennings has scored 9 tries from 19 appearances. His defence is outstanding and he is great out of dummy half following a quick play the ball.

Why the hate? Sure he is overpaid but he has earned the pay cheque due to his status in the game. Some players you are going to overpay and some are going to provide great bang for buck. Its a juggling act.

We had a team of nuffies (2011 - 2013) that most of them hardly deserved a decent contract and what did that get us?

Three wooden spoons.

The difference was that Gasnier was a big playmaker who could attract defenders closer infield. In some ways he was wasted at centre.

No, it his run at all cost, when the obvious better play is to pass to a player named SEMI.

Massive, massive hog who stops many promising movements.

Centres are in the team for their defence first then their running. If they were in the team for their passing they should be playing in the halves.

12 tries to Semi, 9 to Jennings. 21 in total. Both guys missed a chunk of games this year.

As defensively stout as you can get as an edge combination.

And we haven't even talked about Manu who has amazing ball skills.

Whats the problem?????

So apparently Massoud on Triple M this afternoon "broke" a story that Hayne has spoke to multiple people about how he isn't "feeling" the Titans. He has apparently also said he would "take a pay cut" to come back to the Eels.
Massoud could be feeding a story I am not sure.

Yep, the hot story he was pushing though was Hayne wants to be back at Parra. Geez, I dunno if BA would even look at him now anyway.
And the more I watch his circus go on, the more I think Parra dodged a bullet.

We'd be crazy to go anywhere near those damaged goods. Not "feeling" the Titans - lol, why did you sign for them Hayne, you goose! Will he end another contract early...?

Hayne has shown nothing special in his return to league apart from one last minute field goal. Won't make Origin unless he finds something special in the off-season.

Definitely not worth taking a gamble on, even on a "pay cut" (which would still be overs).
