Yeah I agree with this. I’ve wanted us to have a top heavy roster (quality top 17) at the expense of depth for ages and we have finally managed it. If a genuine premiership window means we can’t compete for the signatures of some quality juniors then so be it. Assuming Jennings gets done, we don’t really have a weakness in our top 17-19 and our roster has improved from last year so O’Neill gets a pass mark from me.

That’s an outstanding appointment. Drown would be mad not to extend with the opportunity to be coached by the greatest halfback the game has ever seen at this early stage of his career.

The 2001 side exploited a loophole in the ruck rules which was closed soon after. That's why instead of becoming a dynasty they only played one finals match over the next three years.

They weren't a great side. They were barely a good side. Broke records (in a year where even the worst sides scored a lot of points) on the back of brilliant coaching, not supreme playing talent

I would only add Himdmarsh Lyon Vella Ryan and Pj to our squad.

Drop Jennings taka alvaro evans nikure. Brad Drew and Wagon get honorable mentions. And David Solomana was unstoppable at one stage
