Well, while Izzy's not exactly my kind of guy...... where do you reckon he stands morally relative to, say, Matt Lodge? Or the dozens of players who get pinged driving a car while drunk who have no problem getting NRL registration. Or Cameron Smith for that matter.

I'd have banned Cameron Smith from the game purely on the basis of the 5 minutes following Alex McKinnon's injury. Was the most disgusting behaviour I've seen on a sporting field, no exceptions.

the worse thing Smith painted himself as the victim, he really is an absolute merkin of the highest order.

Doesn't really matter what they've done if one is worse than the other. Outside of the NRL bubble who knows or cares about lodge? Yeh me too. You know, first 30 seconds while he may have realised how serious things were....fair enough. The next several minutes were just breathtakingly awful. Surprised that one of his own players didn't punch him in the chops.

On what legal basis would you deny a club the right to register him? It's not like he has breached any obligations to the NRL in the past (unlike this breach of contract situation with the RU).

the worst thing in my opinion was that he and the storm seemed to if anything double down on the tackling shit and general ref badgering. They didn’t take stock of anything.

The NRL have let blokes who have been guilty of domestic violence back into the game. If Folau was let back in there would be an uproar for a week or so by some and then it will blow over.
NRL thrives on publicity. Let him back in.
