All the boomers I know/knew just got on with their working life, had fun in their teens and tried to earn a crust as they got older. There was nothing radical about it all. It sometimes appears on here that we were gifted everything on a plate.

Every generation likes to blame the previous generation. But atleast the boomers where not the ones who bred the politcaly correct , can't fart without offending someone generation.
Most boomers I know worked hard and didn't expect to be given anything. They had ethics and orals and good family values.

Well....I reckon there is tremendous variation within each generation and we colour the generalisation we make consciously or otherwise (and sometimes simply because we choose to associate with people that we actually like). For example, some boomers went to Vietnam, others supported them, others treated them like shit, others were against the war but respectful to those who fought. Some were hippies.
