And RCG. Along with Waqa Blake these are four of the six Eels with WPYSA18 scores above 7. The other two are Moses and Drown. These merkins are used to winning games.
I like this person’s thinking https://pythagonrl.com/2020/02/24/primer-tpr/
The measurement they came up with that 11 forced drop outs equates to 1 try absolutely flies in the face of what you think would be the case
And f**k! Can anyone guess the least productive for wins position in the game is? The answer will absolutely floor people

It’s even less than the bench!

The last stat Pou created was tackles per minute. That article made out Avaro was the most effective defender in the game. Since that article Parra did everything they could to punt Alvaro by letting him go (twice in 6 months) to 2 shit clubs.
Are you suggesting Alvaro read the article and realised he was worth more so decided to tank it to get a release?

I think that’s exactly what he is suggesting.

Reading between the lines I reckon he is also saying that we should all crack open each other’s heads and feast on the goo inside.

I like the metric but I think it requires some more parameters, particularly concerning their teammates wins, the teams overall wins, minutes played perhaps.
To put it into perspective, here’s an image of the calculation for the most important stat in moneyball baseball

In the same way that attack isn't everything, neither is defence. Alvaro isn't well rounded enough for our top 17, especially after we decided our attacking structure would be one out shit up the middle.

Unfortunately we don't have a GOAT.

Also it is scary what Waqa will be on by the end of his contract.

Waqa Blake
Club: Eels

SALARY: $550,000

Another case of Penrith paying half of his contract until the end of 2023 when his earnings will be up around the $800,000-a-year mark. Exactly the same situation as Reagan Campbell-Gillard ... Phil Gould signed him long term, then left the club and Cleary offered him to the Eels. He is managed by Clint Gutherson's agent Sam Ayoub, who was behind the transfer.

Note: Noticed that when clicking on the link that it is behind a paywall. But if you go to Google and type in Waqa Blake Salary. From there you can click on it and it allows you in. I don't know what the difference is.
bring back beau scott for a bit of one on one training before the bigger bucks kick in

Which is what several of us were saying at around the same time 'tackles per minute' became some kind of thing.

I'm more a fan of stats regarding our performance in the transition from defense to attack and vice versa. Teams that make those extra few inches when nobody has the ball are good value
