Hey it’s nice to dream, I mean as en Eels fan I still think one day we might actually win a comp. yeah crazy I know.

Also if we want to look down the track and pick a future star, then we could do a lot worse then try to poach Jack Howarth from the Storm. He is a towering backrower with skill, aggression and great speed. The Storm have huge wraps on him and are bringing him on slowly as they usually do and it would be very hard to take him off them, but one never knows.

He is off contract at the end of 2022 so we can make him an offer in November this year. Our roster for 2023 is fairly bare so he would be an amazing acquisition to say take Matto's place by then. This guy has more skill and speed then anyone we currently have. We need to always be looking to be the best and if that means raiding the other current best, then so be it. I think he will be one hell of a player.

I've given up. Now a days I just hope we always stay competitive and never regress to the pathetic standard we were just a few seasons ago. That way I can at least enjoy the season proper before we get burned in the finals.

Manly are doing great with juniors. Or poaching.
Garrick,Turbo brothers,Parker,Harper,Foran,DCE,Parker, Olukakatu, Schuster... That's 11 guys who come thru or atleast hadn't heard of prior to playing NRL.
They did also poach Keppie young. Unsure where Sipley,Sironem,Croker or crust come from.

But they haven't bought in any big names bar Walker and Alioi. And neither are that big a name.More solid NRL players. Credit to this squad.

Interesting that Xavier savage is a cairns brothers junior.

Same club BA captain coached for 6 years. Plenty of talent up there surely BA still has connections up there to get inside word on some young guns coming through.

Cairns has plenty of quality RL talent
