We extended Michael Jennings on just under $900k for 2 seasons. Gagai is worth at least that if not $500k a season.

I think Jennings was a better player. Much better in defence. Also, we probably paid overs for him. I don't think we need to pay overs for outside backs any more.

Gagai isn’t a centre’s arsehole, very good winger but. Let a shit side pay him what he wants. He’s worth no more than 300k to us.

I’d rather we adapt the Melbourne Storm model. Solid centres and express or strong wingers. We already have one strong winger. I’d probably go for someone like that Xavier Savage that I suggested to the club via Rammy’s endorsement.

He has been picked for the Raiders this week I believe. I will be keen to see how he goes. Mind you it won't really mean much if he is found out defensively a little seeing he is playing in a team way out of form and outside backs cop the brunt of that.

On Russell, yeah it was only the dogs and only 1 game, but he rucked it out better then I expected.

He just seem to run it to the opposition line quicker, allowing for a few more metres. Plus wasnt pushed back. He seems to have that build / speed which is hard to defend against. Plus he has some speed / potential X factor.

obviously wasn’t the greatest debut of all time but just something about it / him.

The thing is he looks size wise a fullback. He might be an option on wing for a year or two.

I honestly would not be worried if we don't sign anyone next season. Who are we losing that's in our best 17?
I see the likes of top 30 players Hollis,Greig all being closer to NRL. I see back ups like Arthurs,Penisini,Russel all being better and may push into the side.(Not Arthurs)
Perhaps best we sign if can a few good juniors and maybe if comes up a few guys looking for chances. Like Bryce.

Players like Stone maybe let go.

2015-2018 he won a lot of games at fullback, and he's only 28 next year. He's a proper strike player, but lacks the work rate for the modern fullback/half. You'd need to build a gameplan around getting him the ball at the right times, with him bludging in between carries. Sort of like a winger, but around the middle of the field. You don't really see it any more. Only really Latrell Mitchell is used this way, and he's a freak. Milford isn't in the same class.

I think he'd make a decent #14. I'd offer him 450K. He's still young. And he was better than decent in his first year in the halves at the Broncos. In fact, if it wasn't for Ben Hunt he'd be a premiership winning half now. He's completely lacking confidence right now but is young enough to re-capture his best form IMO.

In saying all of that, there's likely a club out there that would be willing to pay him 600K+.... Cowboys would surely be kicking themselves for signing Townsend on that stupid 3 year deal. They jumped in way too early there....
