He won a premiership, he is good enough at the rare shit that team needs, but like any halfback, Townsend is only at his best when his team controls the ball and wins the ruck.

Mate even at his best he wasn't worth $800K. As for now, he is a two bit has been.

Watch him play mate, or maybe you're watching him on ayahuasca and visualizing some magical Pou gameronics. You know, a game where all of your fantasy game beliefs and statistical interpretations come true. The one were average plodders are superstars and superstars aren't noticed and just ruin your perfect salary cap.

A game where only you and plod coaches know the game plan and the rest of us are just to bloody simple. Pou's gameronics is always awesome. It never fails and is so freaking exciting! We never win a premiership of course, but that's not the goal in this wild and wacky gameronics world. Oh no, perpetual mediocrity is what we strive for and is looked upon so very lovingly and embraced like a warm blanket on a desperately cold and gloomy day. That's if there were any cold and gloomy days in Pou's world.

After all in Pou's gameronics there are no bad, well anything other then forum posters who are so bloody dumb, dumb. Besides we just can't compete for the best ayahuasca in town like the big boys can. They have the cartels in their pocket. The best we can hope for is scoring some half decent sh*t on a street corner and learn to love it without getting pinched.

Pou's gameronics is where it's at people. You want to buy some tea?

Good clubs don't have a window, they just have bad injury years.

Until we get a coach that can get the players to play to the conditions that they are presented with, then I don't think we are quite there yet. We nearly are, but the coach is dragging the chain. He needs to find that extra little effort that he is so fond of asking for.

Maybe the collision has dulled his senses and he should look for the spaces more?

I never suggested we sack the coach. I have been calling for new assistants for some time though. Head coaches don't need to be the best strategists. He is a hell of a man manager, which is great and one of the 2 most important traits of a head coach, the other being recruiter, which again he is top notch at. But as for teaching the players the finer details of the game he needs help, which is fine as long as he recognises that and seeks out the best to do the job he can't do. That means getting even guys that have the potential to replace him if they are better then what we have at present.

Like I have said before, almost everybody else sees that our attack is way to one dimensional but you and the coach. If we don't change this, we will lose the big games again this year. Bashing our big boys all year will guarantee this and plays into the hands of our competition.

Your defense of our coach is singularly one dimensional as his coaching and just as clueless and boring.
You acknowledged we scored four tries in each final last year and then admitted our defence was the problem. Now you're back banging your drum about our attack. At this stage you're just blindly lashing out because you don't understand the game.

Price is determined by supply-and-demand, not how big and fast a player is. Reserve grade is full of big, fast merkins. They are dime-a-dozen. What isn't so common, but is essential, are halves with experience and a strong kicking game who are able to defend at NRL level. This is why players like Townsend and Reynolds are still able to command big money. Townsend has played nearly 200 NRL games and won a premiership. He might be on $800k, which would be overs, but also don't believe every dollar figure thrown around by the media. They have an incentive to exaggerate because it keeps dopes like yourself clicking on their garbage articles.

Chasing the collision refers to defence. Surely you don't want our defenders running at spaces?

No, I just want changes to the way we play. If he doesn't make the positive changes that I and many others have already suggested or get people in that can do it for him, then next year, if he lasts that long, should be his last.

You have nothing so you just distort everything to win the argument. Typical Pou world stuff.

Depending on what game, season or era, we have struggled with every aspect of the game. This coach has yet to deliver a team that can play consistently well in both attack and defense when it counts.

I thought our first final in 2017 was one of our best ever performances. So was the 58-0 finals win in 2019. However since that game we have conceded 106 points in three finals (vs Melbourne, Melbourne and Souths). We need to be able to contain these teams to be any chance of beating them. Focusing on attack is pointless because they have the players to be able to outscore us. Wall to wall Origin players in those teams.
