There will be some interesting players next season.

Kafusi - He needs to cement a spot now in the NRL. He has been eased in but has turned 22 now. Should be now looking to be always chosen unless an injury.

Dunster - If he can go up a gear we have a long term wing prospect. As it stand he is a good option but a big off season and he will own the position.

Penisini - Have little doubts that he is going to be in the side every week now.

Greig - Could end up being a bench option

Russel - I think he will be in and out if the NRL this season.

D.Brown - Time to step up after a few years now in the NRL.

Others who might be interesting are Hollis,Stone and Hands if we signed him. Our depth should be strong with a lot of guys pressing g that are up and comers not old and experienced.

im looking forward to seeing what Cartwright can do this season, seemed to get back on track last season. Would love to see him go even better in 2022 with some more minutes.

Might be a really good thing for Dylan Brown to be partnered with a guy who can make something out of nothing.

Cartwirght needs to start and play long minutes. Throwing him in for 20 and expecting him not to do anything silly but also to help make a difference puts to much pressure.
Persoanly I would start him and Marata in the 2nd row. Matterson starts at lock and N.Brown off bench with Papali'i. I feel the balance is better when Jnr and RCG go off. It means some aggression comes on. And two guys who can put defense under pressure.

It feels as if the Dolphins have been linked with every name in rugby league, with Junior Paulo the latest to have his name thrown in the mix.

According to The Australian, Paulo and the Dolphins held “informal” talks earlier this week, with the 27-year-old one of many Eels star off contract in 2023.

I do agree that bryce needs more time and not just cameos that ba gives him.

He always seens to be around the ball and there when there are opportunities.

He did start against panfers but had a shocker. But i put that down to, i have to show ba what i can do

I just feel Matterson is our best defending forward and in the middle with RCG he plugs the gap Jnr will leave on occasions.

Impacts players for me are guys who have raw power. I do not see this in Cartwright. But let's say the defense is a little tired imagine having guys like Brown,Papali and Kafusi steaming up the middle. It would be a nightmare.

So Manly have signed a $300k / year contract with a 16yo which is payable if “he reaches certain benchmarks”. Gee it’s not like Desy to plant a salary cap time bomb.

Whilst I agree, Matto is often left on the ground during the opposition ptb. With regards to Carty, he will no doubt be moved into the middle. Nothing surer. Its BAs thing.

I must say after listening to the TCT - The Tip Sheet - 2021 Ep. 57: 2022 Pre-Preseason Supershow Feat. Joey Grima
Podcast I feel a lot better about our development pathways now and we may have finally addressed losing many quality 14-16 year old juniors to other clubs like Manly before we even got a chance to assess them or simply falling through the cracks being lost to the sport.

It seems as though we have finally set up a proper structure and resources to manage correctly the massive number of clubs and player for both the men and the women game. Terrific stuff from our club. If we maintain this type of investment at this level, I have no doubt that within the next 3-5 years we will be back to being the envy of the NRL and have plenty of young players to pick from seasonally.

Our squad should and will have young talent always putting pressure on our NRL players and we in tern will not be so pressured in re-signing players at ridiculous prices. If this all goes the way it should our salary cap will be the greatest beneficiary and finally Parramatta may get to be the powerhouse it was always meant to be.

Go you good things go!!

Interesting part is that he’s a Parra junior, sniped by Manly from Westfields Sports High as is the rest of his family. When Manly appointed the sport master as part of their recruitment staff, it has paid enormous dividends. As I’ve said before, we were far too complacent when it started and still haven’t got back into the school in any comprehensive way.

A club the size of ours should be producing high quality a lot more often.
I feel now we are seeing a few better players come in with likes of Mahoney,Brown,Penisini. But every season we should have atleast 2 x kids who debut and have some quality about them.
We went a long time where the level of kids we produced where in the Ryan Morgan level.

We need to start producing someone in every position. Its been a long time since a good 2md rower or wing prospect has come thru the system and I feel a winger should never have to be purchased. Should always be able to find that within the club.

Semi I guess did but in a way was bought in from Fiji and was nothing but dramas.

The question for 2022 is who debuts? I won't count guys who got a run in the last rnd against Penrith so if they force way in this year I would see it as warranted.
This season we unearthed Penisini which was fantastic. But I still feel we need to be bringing more then 1 kid a year. I guess Russel also did debut and Arthurs so it was what we need to see every year.

Lets hope Hollis who many don't rate steps up. I think he has a future tbh.
