I really like Oggy. Seen him come up through the grades and have enjoyed his development, and I think he has more to go. But if he wants a starting spot and the sharks are willing to give him that along with $400k to go with it then good luck to him and them.

We have props coming through. We just need to make sure that we keep the right ones so that at the end of Reg's and Paulo's tenures the ones that replace them have sufficient NRL experience.

Finished work today so beering on the couch (no pub this close to Covid according to wife) and watching 77 GF Parra V StGeorge.
Now I’m not great with these old games but my take is… we over glorify it. The thuggery and cheap shot game I’m watching isn’t something to be proud of. In fact, it’s unnecessarily brutal.

Alot of parents wouldnt let their kids play back then. I remember mine did but it was rare. I always complain that they have taken the biff out of the current game but deep down i get why

Keeping Junior and RCG cost us Kaufusi it’s that simple, I think he’s a very good young player and good enough to start but he won’t be starting here. And at 400k he’s just a waste for us.

The other worry has to be concussions, he’s had a heap the last few years a couple more and it could be curtains for his career so I don’t blame him taking the cash.

Lol I remember when Stefano left everyone said we have Kaufusi no big loss now it’s the other way round. Classic Parra. Kaufusi has shown more in first grade so far but I do think Stefano has the bigger ceiling of the two.

They could be our starting props and together cost what one of RCG or Jnr would. In 2024 who will be the better players?

Tigers offered extension and getting the job done before he hits open market. You'd think this doesn't happen but some clubs do it when they have a young star they have faith in

We had to make a choice about letting go one of the old men and backing the kids.
RCG was 750k and Jnr be close. N.Brown would of been 550k or close to that mark.
One of those had to be let go for Papali'i, Kafusi etc.

Balance is out imo. I'm a excellent judge and will back my words. We will be regret signing these 3 all up and letting Stefano,Pappa,Kafusi all go

I suspect he saw (or was told) he had fallen to number 5 prop behind RCG, Jnr, Makatoa and Ogden. Those last 2 alone are probably barely costing 400 between them. Emu, Rodwell and Hollis still have time up their sleeve.

Stefano has not signed any extension/upgrade yet... Wonder why it is taking so long?
