Hypothetical - let's say Hoffman goes down with a season ending injury in two days out from Round 1 - who's your new winger?

Probably Jennings junior maybe Toutai

Plus there's also the chance of moving Gutherson to fullback, French to the wing. And bring in a half, but I doubt that's an option.

Who do I have that you don't?

Also I know he's not first grade squad, but I'll add Blaise Barnes in brackets. He'll move into the NYC five eighth position about 6 rounds into 2017 I'm told (same manager as Tepai). Not part of the official squad but someone we'll keep a close eye on.

I quite like our new signings especially Brown, Vave and Hoffman. Possibly also Avua'a

We now have depth in most postions.

Our big worry is still our halves, especially if Norman misses many games.

Lot of good depth - Lot of cheekie signings, plenty could flop like say Frank but for a year its an win win.

Our centre depth is awesome - Auvaua - Jennings - Toutai - Falou have all played first grade. And can all do a job if called upon.
you can throw in Hofmann and mau, considering out edge forwards depth

hooker is still weak and the halves

Semi Radradra has never played finals footy. Cheyse Blair has.

Any given player is irrelevant to a team's chances. What matters is the overall quality of the team.
Very funny stuff Pou.

So you are saying with your 2nd paragragh that Thurston was irrelevant to the Cowboys premiership.

What you almost always forget or choose to ignore when you say shit like that Pou is that sport is a very emotional beast.

So when a player like Semi comes around he amps up the emotion for nearly all Parra supporter to the power of 1000. Therefore if he were to be poached or he decides to go overseas then most (not you of course cos you think like a Ferengi) feel devestated. Sure the club lives on and eventually we replace him with someone of NRL standard, but special players are just that and when you bring one through the lower grades it makes it all that much harder to except.
It's not about money or interchangable whatevers. It's much more then that. It's about emotional investment.

I'm saying he's irrelevant to the Sharks' premiership.

If that's too cryptic for you, my point is that the combination of players around Thurston are more important to the Cowboys' premiership, and what's more, if they had never signed Thurston they could still have won the comp with a different combination of players. This is proven by the combination of players that won for the Sharks this year.

They'll never win the comp now they've let Carney go!

And i call bullshit on you if you think the cows could have won a comp without JT.

Oh f**k off TheRam. Eels fans loved Luke Burt when we were making the finals.
