That's not assault....you are allowed to take reasonable steps to defend yourself regardless of who is attacking you. Obviously, if you're being attacked by a 15 stone man, those reasonable steps can be more violent than if you are being attacked by a 7 stone female (or even just a much smaller bloke).

You're not allowed to hit anyone, regardless of gender, just coz the carrots are overcooked.
But if they are undercooked, game f**kin on!

How about we discuss how Benji Marshall will fit into Brisbane's backline instead. I'll get us started. I'd like to see him defending at centre.

Yep. It doesn't need to be 100% certainty of guilt, just beyond reasonable doubt.
High profile case with a likeable person practically makes it 100% required. Ignoring the difficult legal questions around his case, if Gable Tostee can get off, Semi will

Nope, Tostee was a shoe in for an acquittal, everyone who knew the case well had no doubts. Absolutely not guilty of anything. Semi might have some work to do though...

I didn't say Tostee wasn't going to get off? My point was that in terms of perceived doucheness, he's off the charts compared to Semi. And my other point was that in high profile cases, the accused rarely gets a 'jury of their peers'

Will we get cap compensation if our players are called for jury duty?
