Parramatta coach Brad Arthur offered to rival club, reports Danny Weidler​

Brad Arthur's management has offered for the Eels coach to take control of a rival NRL club next season, despite the fact he's contracted to Parramatta until the end of 2024.
That's the report of Nine's Danny Weidler, who added Arthur denied that was the case and made it clear he would remain with the Eels for the length of his contract.
"I approached Brad for comment about this. He said he's in the dark about any such maneuverings and it's his intentions to honour his contract with Parramatta until the end of 2024 and try to win a competition with them," Weidler told 9News.

"So, I guess it's going to be a case of watch this space and see how the Eels go."
If Arthur's management did offer Arthur to a rival, it's likely the club in question is the Bulldogs or Dragons.

If I was to hazard a guess, I'd say it was the Bulldogs who BA's mgmt approached. Mainly because Weidler is a weasel who just about nobody in league circles but a few people talk to and who is one of those people he smooches on the arse each chance he gets? Phil Gould. Gould then leaks the approach to Weidler for the scoop...

I reckon we're close to landing Ciraldo and it'll be for 2023, not 2024 like the Dogs are planning and so we're trying to get Ciraldo in before we lose him. BA's mgmt probably see this as an opportunity to get a longer term deal knowing that Parra are close to landing Ciraldo...

its really only speculation right now as the source is not named and no one has confirmed anything

we don't know whether it's applicable as of now or at the end of the season, if at all.

all that's been speculated is that he's been offered to another club, not that he is definitely leaving

His management leak it so that our club can expedite his replacement (which we were probably going to do anyway).

Yes, could be. I just think it's Parra trying to beat the dogs to the punch for Ciraldo for 2023 knowing the dogs plan as of last week was to leave Potter in charge for 2023 and then bring Ciraldo in for 2024...
