The article focuses on limiting opposition run metres, but doesnt the inverse then apply? If we run more then we have been limited less, hitherto we should achieving more.
We have won only one less game than the team running second.

I suspect in some games we have allowed our opponents to run for a ridiculous amount of metres, and ultimately this has cost us being a chance in those games.

On the other side, we've been able to do the same to some opponents.

Inconsistency is the issue for this mob.

3 years are you serious, fmd. This is just as bad as Arthur's purchase of Kane Evans for 3 years
@500k per season. Fu*k that bloke gas made some atrocious decisions. That said I thought Simmonson would be good. The fact is he was ok at Canberra so whats the difference?

Because we seem to think that defence is what goes around da pool...
Ahh, so its not as simple as Seibold and Hagan think...

I wonder why they dont have FG gigs anymore?

Yardage is part of the equation for sure, but the article was trying to position yardage as one of the most important stats.

Ability to convert yardage into points, defence, errors, and many other numbers come into it i reckon.

i know there is a lot of negativity on here but we are a good football team. i just want to see this club take the next step and be up there with the storm and panthers year on year.

Absolutely.

I agree with you, and Pou - attack is not our issue.

Our issue is we leak points badly.

He was always a fringe first grader at the Raiders, who had some decent other players in the back 5 to ruck the ball out of their end to disguise his deficiencies in this area.

This is because as Billy slater stated when we are in attacking positions, the bush coach takes many one out hit up plays. And when defending the bushies wide defensive systems don't work (see VS Rabbits) - stats don't show this 💩💩

as much as a dislike qlders it was interesting hearing billy and cameron smith disect our attacking tendencies and structures. I can see how QLD won the origin series. It was far more insightful than anything Brads ever come out with.

Although, if Moses does choose to leave from 2024, we would have $1m allocated for a 7.

Who else would we pay $1m to?
Ben Hunt? Likely
Luke Keary? Potentially
DCE? Unlikely
Pearce? There's worse, but unlikely

Anyone else for less and restructure the team?

Dont even offer Moses 1 million, say we have 800k thats it. Then offer Keary the same.

I sometimes wonder if I am the only person on this forum that gets sick of every thread becoming about our coach and his deficiencies.

It would be good to actually just discuss football sometimes.

Well you wonder where all the old time forumers who used to talk footy went.

What’s with the f**king one out crash plays when we are on their line? Tactically and technically our coach has no idea.

SHOOSH

Who was the club CEO who took the extraordinary step of fronting players about their on-field performances? Obviously ignoring the demarcation line between the front office and the football department, the CEO pulled in the entire team to put them on notice following a recent loss. We are told it was one hell of a spray. Akin to Phil Gould taking over Trent Barrett’s training session at the Bulldogs this year It may spell the end for the coach in question.

SHOOSH

Which high-profile player is odds-on to leave his club despite having a year to go on his deal? The player severed ties with his manager last week and hired another after being promised a new, better deal at another club.

Neither are Eels

Our CEO probably doesnt know who the first grade players are..

Brown has been in the media as being shopped so wont be a shhhoooooosh.

Hass has a new manager though and is high profile..
