Way to ignore the sentiment. 40% of Australians don’t care.

It's not religious, it is cultural. Plenty of religious Australians believe access to abortion should be unrestricted or the numbers wouldn't be so high (58%):

Interestingly, plenty of religious Americans also think abortion should be legal in all/most cases, proving that it is a cultural issue rather than religious:

one of the most common responses on the Twitterati yesterday about the Manly 7

I wonder how many of them have had sex before marriage
A better comparison would be whether they would promote sex before marriage as a good thing worth celebrating. I'm sure these Manly merkins have sinned. The issue is about celebration/support of something they consider to be a sin.

Melbourne have been asking around everywhere for the past 2 weeks for a player.

What are Parramatta doing sitting on there hands and just accepting the squad atm.

It would be nice if the club was being pro-active for a change and still looking at improving there squad 6 weeks out.

Even an extra bench forward or backrower for a 6 week stint from a club not playing finals would be handy.
Well we were looking at Lodge (along with several backs earlier in the year), and now rumours Papa may stay we could be looking at keeping a few dollars to upgrade him for this year if he happens….

I guess the obvious extension of that is, if one aspect is no longer valid then what about another aspect?
This idea is fairly central to the New Testament. All these religious rules people quote from the Bible are actually from the Old Testament, which is a collection of Jewish scriptures. The arrival of Jesus was supposed to change all this except it possibly didn't. All the post-Jesus books of the New Testament seem to be trying to reimpose Old Testament social conventions on the fledgling Christian community. It's clear as mud.

Actually there are over 5,000 different gods that have been worshiped by humanity.

You and I are no different really. You just believe in one more God than me.
There are multitudes of spiritual beings (gods) mentioned in the Bible. Scripturally, Christians wouldn't deny the existence of those 5000+, just their authority. And that doesn't even cover the 'Father God' aspects from each pantheon. Odin/Zeus/Nikola Tesla and their undergods/angels. Meanwhile atheists deny them all outright. It's completely different, and the whole I-just-believe-in-one-less-god-than-you thing is a dumb word game for first year uni students to troll people who got a job straight out of high school. Like the flying spaghetti monster.

That's because they're human beings with free will and a conscience. I would be surprised if any religious people don't choose the parts of their religion that are most meaningful to them. There are many conflicting aspects of Christianity, for example. It would be impossible for any person to fulfil all of them.

That's why the whole thing is a joke. Religion is like a contract you sign with your chosen God. You can't then tell Him 'yeah nah sorry champ I won't do that or I won't not do that or that's not the way I feel today so I'm gunna fornicate and eat some pork while I'm doing it'. That would be a breach of contract and guess what...Damnation!

Seriously, if you choose to selectively do or not do things that you feel benefit your lifestyle and or give you pleasure or don't stop you from getting pleasure, that are written in any religion, but then selectively zero in on one that is detrimental on other peoples lives, then there is no other word for it but bigotry.

I mean you don't follow the stuff that would impact your life negatively, but then say to yourself, yeah fu*k them dirty homo sinners that are sinning against Gods word and have a type of sex that I don't feel the need to have. I can't support that because it is written and I'm religious and it's against my super strong convictions and beliefs. I call that being an arse hole and hiding behind religion to do it.

Oh and where can I go and buy me some slaves? I like me some girl slaves. Build me my own harem. Some brown ones, black ones, white ones, red ones, pink and yellow ones. I make my own colourful rainbows I do. Oh and some chubby ones and skinny ones too. I'm so very inclusive. It is written in multiple religions, so it must be right. I am doing Gods work ffs and I am going to Heaven. I want me some slaves. Maybe I need to go to Libya, I here they have been allegedly been doing Gods work over there for some time now? I love religion. It works so well for me. Just don't be gay though cause my God will smite your sinning face. Oh and remember love thy neighbour. God saves.

Peace out.
