And honestly, not being up every week is a shit attitude to have, and a definite weakness in our team. But I don’t think replacing the coach is doing to fix it. That sort of leadership only comes from the leadership group, and we are lacking in that area. Dale Finucane has always been a massive plodder, but he is the type of personality we need in our team.

The f**king coach picks the team and also goes after the players that he wants in the team. He is involved in signing and choosing those players. So if we don’t have those leaders in the team (as you say) then the coach is responsible. A good coach would be able to identify those leaders. You keep making excuses for him.

Are they idiots? Or passionate fans who have been let down so many times by the side that they didn't think they'd turn it around? I feel it's a poor choice of words to call someone an idiot. You hardly come across on here as the most intellectual bloke on here.

I was happy over the win against the Storm and that because we beat 2 plodder teams the week before. So beating a quality Melbourne was a great win even though they were missing Hughes.

But I’ll never feel confident whilst we have BA as coach. He’s had 9 years and achieved nothing. We’ve gone to too many finals under him and choked. Only thing that will restore my confidence in him is a Premiership. Then egg on my face and give him a 5 year deal.

But if no premiership this year, then he needs to be f**king sacked. He’s been given more chances than any coach in NRL history. He’s failed too many times for me to have any trust in him at all. That’s a fact. he’s got a full squad with no injuries. There can be no more excuses.

Yeah I get it. But I think even the most optimistic, glass half full, pom-pom waving BA fan knows deep down that there's at least 1 better team more likely than us to win the comp this year. There's probably more like 3 to be honest. I don't know that there's a coach available right now that if you put in to BA's chair would change that.... if we could somehow magically teleport/swap coaches and have Bellamy in charge for the Finals this year, I'd give us a huge chance, but again, from all available options, none would make a difference to our fortunes this year (or next, 2023 would be a rebuild year under a new coach without doubt)...

It will be a monumental effort/upset if we win the premiership from here....

The clubs with the most resources get the pick of the playing talent, regardless of who is coach.

So if we don’t have those leaders in the team (as you say) then the coach is responsible. A good coach would be able to identify those leaders. You keep making excuses for him.

Our playing group hasn't had elite leadership since we got rid of Dean Pay and co. Half a dozen coaches haven't been able to change that because recruitment isn't the coach's job. Even the weakest clubs have an entire recruitment team. The biggest clubs would have the most resources devoted to recruitment and retention.

Nobody is predicting the future. I'm sure we can all agree with that. It comes down to fans who hope we win vs 'fans' who hope we lose. It's that simple.
