Well I am in Newtown and going to buy a donut to cheer myself upm

I bought Dad a 75 inch TV for the coast. I was expecting him to say thanks but I'll pay half. He just took it and said Thanks that was a good gift now hurry up and set it up for me.
I'm shocked and gutted. You do something nice for someone and all you get is a THANKS? How about giving me some money for it. I wasn't planning a $1,500 gift.
Lol ... Do you pay people for half the gifts they give you? ... you should have sussed it out first

Unpopular opinion here, but...

"He'll be the Michael Jordan of the NRL; no player has ever had the same impact as Joseph in his 18 games."

What a load of bollocks - Hayne made his debut at 17, and played for the Prime Minister's 13 later that year, and then played Origin, and for Australia, the year after.

As good as Sua'ali'i can become, to claim he's the greatest ever at 18 is just stupid.

It'd be a huge call to move Teddy on next season, more likely, the Roosters being a bit smarter and more ruthless management wise they'd be telling Sualii the spot is his in another year or two. In the meantime he's there to learn from Teddy, and of course arrange a deal that's attractive enough to keep him well happy.

If it's true that RU are offering the kind of coin being reported, there's just no way to match it and keep a competitive roster, so all they have to sell is being at the Roosters, and whatever that brings.

Honestly, they'd be dumb to move Teddy for Sua'ali'i - how many clutch plays does Tedesco make for them every week?

Against Melbourne, he saved their bacon at least 3 times.

WARNING - UNPOPULAR OPINION INCOMING

I don't see why people blow their loads of Sua'ali'i - there is clearly talent there, but all this talk about pushing Tedesco out for him is lunacy.

And if the 18-yeqr old can't wait a year or two to learn from a great rugby league fullback, then his attitude sucks.

Linked with Liam Martin just then on Channel 9. He’s under contract next season but has knocked back Penrith’s offer so far.
I like Liam Martin as a player, very solid first grader. Got found out a bit in origin but no shame in that, not everyone performs on that stage.... Would defend better than Ice on an edge, but doesn't bring the damaging runs Ice does... Pro's and cons...

Yeah Teddys great. But will be 30 next season. How many years will he be in top 3 fullbacks? I'd say next year YES. The following becomes a gamble. He still may. I reckon he has 2 TOP shelf years left. He may play well for 2 more but I doubt at the same level.
Sualii is 18. He could have 14yrs at the top. To me its a no brainer. Come 2024 if Teddy wants to go you let him.

Honestly the kid could be anything.

But he aint there yet, right now he's just a very gifted athlete, with a shit ton of potential. That aint to downplay his very obvious talent, but as the saying goes, one swallow does not a summer make.

He will cost 650k. Martin is one dimensional. Runs hard but that's all. Papali'i is superior.

The Roosters are pretty good at moving blokes on and planning for the next phase. They've already got good return on their Tedesco investment with back to back premierships. They've got Joey Manu and Sualii who could both be ready to take that fullback position and make it their own right now. Why pay 3 blokes the best part of a million when you only need to pay for 2??

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Tigers get caught up in the romanticism of bringing Teddy back to Concord and paying stupid money to do so for a swansong....

I agree - Joseph could be a gun.

But right now, he is not in Teddy's class.

Let him keep learning from Teddy for another year, or two.

I completely agree.

Gettinf rid of a legendary player like Tedesco, for a kid that MAY turn out to be great, is a dumb move.

At this stage, the kid should stay, and learn, from Tedesco.

For me, it's more about moving on a player that is more valuable, than a kid who has not realt proven anything yet.

Yeah I get it, but as I say, maintaining success sometimes means taking calculated risks and if it comes to the crunch, the Roosters might decide to back a younger colt and let the older workhorse go.

With 3 premierships in the last 10 years, they seem to know what they're doing... Who knows, the ARU might make it an easy decision for them by poaching Sualli so it becomes a moot point.... Mind you, I don't think they can keep Manu in the centres forever so that's another decision. They'll probably let Keary go and push Manu to the halves eventually....
