Explains Barrett's appointment...
The Dragons have undertaken a drastic shift in thinking as they look to resurrect the club’s fortunes by appointing Ben Woolf and Ryan Carr as Griffin’s assistant coaches.
Despite being just 34, Carr has a growing resume and has been earmarked as a potential first grade coach. He is currently Brad Arthur’s assistant coach at the Eels, but has also spent time at South Sydney, Cronulla, and as head coach of English side Featherstone Rovers.
He won’t link up with the club until the end of his World Cup commitments, where he will work alongside Trent Robinson as part of France’s coaching staff.
The Dragons were desperately looking to freshen up their coaching staff and revamp their structure as Griffin heads into the final year of his deal, with conjecture already surrounding his future.
“The opportunity to bring Ryan and Ben to the club is something we are all excited about,” said Dragons general manager of football Ben Haran.
“Their broad experience across different systems external to the Dragons will only benefit our playing group.”
