I think he would have had better pulling power to attract top players to the Eels than rookie Brad Arthur. So I don't agree with your premise that we were better off without him.
He attracted Corey Norman, Darcy Lussick, and Nathan Peats whilst he was here.

Brad Arthur attracted Anthony Watmough, Keiran Foran, Michael Jennings, Beau Scott and Michael Gordon in his early tenure.

Sticky has attracted no real high profile Australian players since he departed the club, and had to go to the UK to get any decent kind of talent. His ability to have better pulling power would appear to be a myth.

Living in Canberra is probably Stuart’s biggest recruitment issue…,

All good trying to find a silver lining, cos that's my MO 24/7 normally. But he walked out on us cos he had a better offer. Total shit merkin act. Then had the audacity to play the disabled daughter card cos he couldn't be a man about it.

That probably doesn't help, and is easier for players to move around Sydney teams, but would players from the country rather move to Canberra or Sydney? I suspect Canberra is an easier option, so there development should be better.

Has any club in history ever signed a bad player? If the answer is yes then what you just said doesn’t really matter.
Depends what you mean by ‘bad’. In a top 30 every club will have players they hope never get on the field. From there it’s a spectrum to the best players in rugby league.

In that light the only ‘bad’ signing is when the club pays too much. Do you know how much Isaako will be paid at Redcliffe?

Alternatively, a bad signing is when you could have signed someone better for comparable value. Do you know if the Dolphins couldn’t have signed someone better?

Clearly they could have, since nobody has any proof of what they paid. But because they are new, they have to pay overs. Therefore all their signings are bad signings.

Issaako has played over 100 nrl game, mostly for Brisbane. He was then chased by titans / eels this year. Then signed for 2 years by the dolphins….

That 4 clubs that had interest in him / have signed him.

That’s a better indication he is a decent player (not saying he is above average) to have in your top 30, rather then a drop ball in a reserve grade game…

No, and neither do you. Therefore neither of us can say it was a bad signing, but only one of us is attempting to.

Stupid is not the opposite of smart, it is the absence of smart.

If what you say is true then nobody is in a position to say if a player is good or bad. I’m sure you don’t really think that.
