In many respects, Lane and Papali'i's HIA probably gave them a break they wouldn't ordinarily have got. This must have helped us in the back end of the game.

Agreed. Those kicks were shit and the missed goal wasn’t great, but we have an ELITE half who is prepared to miss the birth of his first born to get us a premiership. If that’s not what you want from your leaders then I don’t know what is. He clearly has a very good relationship with Gutho and Drown. We just need to keep these three together. Paps is a loss, but I reckon Lane would be an even bigger loss. I can’t believe how much better he is this year. His heads in the game, he takes tough Carries and he offloads at the right time. I genuinely think his study in psychology is doing wonders for him.

I'm not suprised. I saw him in a trial and I said. Lane is set for a big year.
