You did and he has never been on the shit list.I'm not suprised. I saw him in a trial and I said. Lane is set for a big year.

He also got two LBAs and nailed the sideline conversion just a couple of minutes after the missed penalty. That four point lead meant we could lay all over the merkins inside our 20 in those final minutes.Agreed. Those kicks were shit and the missed goal wasn’t great, but we have an ELITE half who is prepared to miss the birth of his first born to get us a premiership.
Said the same to my young bloke. Master stroke by BA. Oh wait!In many respects, Lane and Papali'i's HIA probably gave them a break they wouldn't ordinarily have got. This must have helped us in the back end of the game.
Yep. It was massive. He also got two LBAs and nailed the sideline conversion just a couple of minutes after the missed penalty. That four point lead meant we could lay all over the merkins inside our 20 in those final minutes.
Like BA said in the presser, it wasn't him that won the game, it was the players. Just like how he didn't lose all those week two games in previous years.
Yeah. Amazed how we gathered all those resources these past few weeks. It's because we became a bigger club this year.
I think it would appear that everyone in the joint knew they had a team capable of something special the moment they beat the Storm and the Panthers earlier in the year. Throughout the season all they did was just enough to ensure they could get themselves into the position they're now in.I think it is fair to say that Brad Arthur had a plan, which was to get the team to peak at the right time.
So losing a few games, here and there, was inconsequential to the overall plan.
Evidence to me of this are:
* our ability to win our round 25 game to secure a top 4 spot
* the magnitude of the improvement in our attitude, defence, and attack, over the last 6 weeks
* our ridiculous levels of fitness
* our amazing professional attitude
I think Brad has done a great job (I didn't think so 2 months ago), and I think he deserves a Premiership.
Let's go, Eels!!!

I suspect they had been waiting for last week for the last 12 months and had then been waiting all season for last night.
Credit where credit is due.
A little off tangent, but how many of the current team would everyone place in their team of the NRL era?
I would have Brown, Moses, Mahoney, Campbell-Gillard and Paulo in there. Potentially Gutherson, Lane, Papali’i and Matterson pending next weeks performance.

The question is who else have you got in the team? Obviously The Plane, Hindy, and Semi pick themselves.A little off tangent, but how many of the current team would everyone place in their team of the NRL era?

The first comp goes for 25 rounds and is a prelim to the main event which only 8 teams enter.
BA and the team did enough throughout the year to get us to the final of the main event.
That broncos loss at home I had us done.Absolutely.
Two months ago, I honestly thought Brad had reached his peak.
It's pretty clear he was working to a plan, and we are seeing the benefits now.
I think I'd have Gutho at left centre ahead of Vaeliki. In that team, Brown and Gutho could probably swap around a bit on the left side. Cayless has to be ahead of Niukore. I'm sure there is others we're all over looked.Thats is a tough one!
