Its a bit sickening all the apologists lining up to congratulate the club for both halves being off contract at the same time and hitting open marker. Oh it's fine if we lose one....

Rule no 1 - Never have both halves (If talented) contracts end the sametime. Now we have one playing the other. Poor negotiating skills on our behalf. Both players managers now know we are desperate. We will get milked.

I'd Dylan was signed already it makes the process a lot simpler.

I'd be looking at all options to keep the pair. And even if it meant asking the Dolphins if they'd like Guthersin with us chipping in 100K amd going for Nui from Broncos.

From what I know Manly knew Foran was fairly broken amd kept it quiet in the best interest of the player. They where never going to sign the bloke.

Are the Dogs really in a mess? They improved 4 positions in 2022 with most of their wins coming after they sacked Barrett. They have Kikau, Mahoney and Sutton arriving in 2023 and cleared out underperforming old merkins Vaughan and Jackson. And you would think Burton would improve after playing his first full year in the halves. TPJ seems to have lost weight already too.

You only know all that because we got caught. There would be plenty of other desperate clubs making similar offers. Look at all the bullshit around Ponga’s contract at the Knights. Merkins are asking how Brooks is on so much at the Tigers. Desperate clubs find a way.

Gutho isn’t going anywhere mate not sure why people even bring it up. He is, and always will be first bloke picked by BA for better or worse, he is not going to be let go and most CERTAINLY not tapped on the shoulder.
