It might be feasible but it seems a long stretch to assume that extending Sivo has anything to do with either Blake's future or our supposed interest in Harper.

Blake has played less than 30 of his 150+ game career on the wing, Harper has started 1 game in nearly 50 on the wing. Sivo has played 100% of his first grade games as a winger.

Not saying we aren't looking at Harper as a replacement for Blake, but am confident the Sivo extension has nothing to do with it.

I think it’s more about how much we’re willing/able to spend in the outside backs. Sivo would be on the kind of money that we might only be able to pay two outside backs in our whole squad. If Penisini is the other, that suddenly leaves a whole lot less remaining for a 150-game veteran like Blake.

The rest of the outside backs in the squad are pretty much already covered by cheapies like Asi, Cini, Dunster, Russell and Simonsson. We might also re-sign Loizou as a backup. There’s also Lumelume and Komolafe.

Sivo and Pensini wouldn't cost more then 800k between them. You think we can only add two 140k players to that?

I think we can do better. Actualy I think you could spend 300k each on two more guys. Most sides have a centre or wing on 650k+

The ball on Moses seems to really be in Parra's court at the moment, and they could realistically end this immediately. Parra should simply ask Moses what he wants to play for Parra. If they don't want to pay that, then the ball is back in his court to make the decision. Personally I think $1.1m is probably slightly unders given the new salary cap, but it is for 4 years (not sure if it includes this year though). I said he was worth $1.15m, but this was under a cap that is now higher than expected too.

You need to consider what he is likely to be worth in year four (aged 33) or year five (34) of these contracts. I’m sure Moses is well aware of this consideration.

I honestly don't think Moses has any intention of going to the Tigpies and it is all about getting the best deal he possibly can from Parra. I suspect the Club is probably banking that this is also his strategy.

As an outsider, that seems the most likely of cases. He knows what the tigers are offering. He’s holding out to see how close the eels will go.

I just don't care now. I find the Moses subject boring. If he goes we have 1.1 mill. Its a nice problem to have.
Sometimes when a window shuts a door opens. Maybe some young kid become available and we snap them up for 500k.

I reckon Matto and Lane would be about 600k and Jnr and Rcg about 700k.
Hopgood? Cheapish. 250k perhaps? The rest once N.Brown goes? Very very cheap. All under 200k.
I'd need to look at other packs but I feel most would be similar cost. The weaker ones probably have less of a drop off from ours.
