Considering we were 1 game away last year, it must be close I guess but our recruitment leaves me scratch my head. Like is MON trying to turn Parra into the Tigers? When was the last time we had a marquee signing? It seems like we always go for rough cut diamonds.

Paulo, Moses and Jennings would have probably been out most recent 'in demand' player purchases I think.

Arguably RCG could be included as he had previously played SOO but was simply not enjoying Penrith town.


We have chased some high profile players since then, came close to getting Staggs I recall. And don't write-off the possibility of us nabbing Lomax. Maybe not marquee but definitely an upgrade.

Yeah we needed to attract a solid forward with plenty of experience for our rotation during the offseason not players that BA and the coaches need to develop.

We all know that is a red herring thrown out by captain Poo-Excuse-Alot and the real issue is how bad our junior talent identification and recruitment is that is not adding and complimenting our premier well paid players. You can't be that bad at it and think that something won't give. The cracks will invariably start to show as soon as injuries and repetitive seasonal fatigue set in and that is where we are at.

Ignore the Poo. He is just a mouth piece for failure to have a seat at the table of reason and reality. Should be dismissed almost every time.

In 2025, 2 years away, will you still have him at fb if his speed declines?
If it is still decent ala Teddy, yeah keep him at 1. This is assuming Moses resigns.

If Moses doesnt, he can slot in the halves.
Our pack will be reasonably old too by then.

Why was it a poor decision? With all the big name forwards in the 17 we were good enough to make a grand final. We'll go much better with Lane and Matterson back.

Murchie is ok. It's early. He could be our worse bench player which isn't bad. Right now he is our best.

Hopgood and Papaliti were pretty rough diamonds..David Fifita...all that glitters is not gold!!!

Murchie was signed when we had no clear right side edge forward option. We've since signed Doorey and had a conversation with Curtis Sironen.

There are kids about to start high school that haven't seen the tigers play in the finals. That would suck

Yeah one premiership would be nice in my lifetime.

Its not like we are asking for a dynasty even though it would be awesome.

Just one premiership would be enough to live off for a while.

After nearly 4 decades of false hope and retched pain I want a dynasty to come close to making up for it. What's the point of a one hit wonder. Before we even blink we would be back to being sad sacks again. Consistent premiership success is what we should be always planning for and demanding. What a terrible results club we are all following.

Hard to compare us to the Tigers.

We turned Papali'i from the scrapheap at the warriors into the best 2nd rower in the game.

It's only taken the Tigers 2 weeks to turn him back into his warriors form.
