If Moses doesn’t sign, we don’t renew Blake, (if we do I will stage a one man protest outside the football club offices), have NBrown gone, we should have $2mil. I would chase someone like Trindall as halfback, (not sure of current contract status) a fringe origin prop and a fringe origin big body centre.
we miss Fergo running from the back.
I would also f**k off the following, Simonson, Momosea, Ogden and Rodwell. They will never make it and are not even decent back up players.
I don’t think Dunster will make it either unfortunately. So I would cut him. Loziou needs to go with him. Not sure about lumelune.
I think Doorey & Murchie are fringe first graders so would keep them. Although Dooreys injuries may always be an issue.
Hodgo needs to not be renewed. I thought the option was in favour of the club. Rein can go with him.
And yes I know I’m getting rid of more players than I am signing, but f**k me it’s time for a clean out.

Thing is if he goes now we have all this money and f**k all players on the market now to try and sign for next year.

So we will have to wait for the scraps and see whose not wanted while under contract at back end of the year.

So we have been screwed over one way as supposedly a decision was supposed to be made before Christmas.

Hard to manage and project our cap management for 2024, 2025 and 26. When the highest paid player wants to dilly dally to make a decision.
Ever since we agreed to the player option in Moses' current contract, our plans for 2024+ would have included the possibility of him not having recommitted prior to the PO deadline in 2023. There's always other options than just signing a like-for-like replacement. If we lose Moses we'll have worse kicking but we'll be better somewhere else in the roster.

Completely agree here. Not usually do so with Pou so hear me out.
Eg say Moses decides he's out and we sign Lomax, Daniel Tupou and Brayden Trindall I think that gives us better overall value as that's Moses money plus a bit more. With NBrown gone, telling goodbye to Waqa and Simonsson all of a sudden we have plenty available to go and sign good quality.
This is just an example.
For outside backs I would be looking at
Lomax
Cobbo
Bradman Best
Koula
Daniel Tupou
Marcelo Montoya
Semi Valemai

Halves If Moses goes
Trindall
Dean Hawkins
Toby Sexton
Luke Metcalf
Paul Turner
Brad Schneider

Forwards
Josh Curran
Josh Kerr
Tofofoa Sipley
Jazz Tevaga

There's also plenty of good young hookers running around in NSW Cup and Q cup

Reserve grade (both states) is definitely the place to find value, especially young players who are performing well at that level.

I think if Moses goes (and let’s face it he won’t) we already have our halves in Guth and Brown. We use the money on a Manu/Sualli type #1.
Good point @Stevie

Seriously if we go 0 and 5 which is now very likely how could Moses seriously justify anything over $1m?

I just saw Reynolds kick a 2 point field goal. It was effortless. When he kicks for goal you could deadset bet good money on it from any angle. With our bloke I’m never confident. Whether it’s a kick from a semi difficult angle or god forbid a field goal to win a tight game. I know deep down he will choke.

Seriously I hope he f**king goes now.

Just f**k off and whilst we are at it ensure any player represented by Isaac Moses is put on notice. They can get f**ked too.

Interesting Nathan Brown just hit the media. Prozenko. Reading between the lines is interesting.

It was a weird situation’: Mystery Eels exit still baffles Brown

To be honest the Brown situation needs to explored much further than is being said.

We've let go a player significantly superior than anyone on our current bench, by a country mile.

I think it's a sackable offence for whoever made the decision if at seasons end we're worse off.

Why should the result at the end of the season determine the quality of the decision made in March? You're expecting whoever made the decision to be able to predict the future ffs

What would you do Pou if you were in charge and we had another season like 2018? Yes, the worst case scenario.
