Rumours and Stuff

this is what I meant the other day when I said something about you always wanting to prove Pou wrong... there was no need for your comment to Pou's post so I am genuinely interested in why you do it.
Um, because it was the most recent post in the thread I was reading, and I happened to disagree and replied to it? Like I would to anyone's post I disagree with if in any thread I'm reading...

Pou posts quite regulalry across any thread here, so it's quite hard to avoid his posts - if that's what you're suggesting I do...? (Which seems quite weird - just like why you'd care so much about whose posts I reply to and whose I don't...)

I'm not wanting to "prove" anyone wrong - just so happens I think a lot of "opinions" he posts happen to be shit, so you're probably just noticing that prevalence.

I can't believe that Parramatta lost the 2022 NRL grand final to Penrith - opinion or fact?
Well it's your opinion, because you're stating it like one ("I can't believe") - conveying the primary subject of the sentence is you and your belief (opinion). Are you seriously trying to argue that is the same as just stating the fact "Parramatta lost..."?

Here’s you being dishonest again.

“Can’t believe” is a rhetorical device conveying disagreement with the thing the speaker can’t believe. If he didn’t believe it he would say that.
Conveying disagreement is still an opinion though, right - and not a fact?
I can’t believe you didn’t already know this. 😉
Thanks for conveying your opinion... nothing factual there in teh rest to be bothered with :).
