Come on guys, just wait until Moretti is picked in first grade and has a bad run and is persisted with by BA - only then will Pou cherry pick a few stats and sing his praises from the rooftops!
Hodgson’s worries me much more. And then there are he times that he can’t even get to marker. It’s truly embarrassing he’s been outplayed by a 23 year old 2 game rookie.
Last year he was always banged up with injuries, this year (5 games in) he’s showing why we signed him in the first place.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. He’s not top 30 and you’ll need to think long and hard before you give him one of those willy wonka golden tickets.
If only the club thought long and hard before they handed out golden tickets to plodders like Mummamoasia, Odgen and Rein. Especially when we had better options already at the club.
It's more that there are reasons to pick a player and reasons not to, and the stats can usually show both reasons.
When you're tempted to second guess the coach, and criticise things you don't understand, it's worth having a look at why he keeps picking the player you hate, and why he doesn't pick the player you don't hate yet.
I'm going to say that shit has changed and as usual the NRL don't tell us anything.
Rodwell is putting up better numbers, in an even smaller sample of games.
I believe you actually have to pay them more. They are expected to be full time footballers, and under the old second tier system (outside the top 25) there was a minimum salary for full time second tier players compared to part-timers (i.e. merkins doing uni/TAFE/apprenticeships). I assume there is also a minimum (and maximum) for players in the development list.
Name a club who has a gun in every position in their top 30. I'll wait.
I'm sure they do. Past performance is a better predictor of future success than most data, and these guys have all earnt top 30 spots in the past, across multiple years. And if you hate plodders you better not look at some of the merkins in the bottom of the Storm and Roosters squads.
Who’s saying that you Tit?? My point was we brought in absolute dross and gave them top 30 spots when we had arguably better talent at the club. Mummamoasia is one of the most embarrassing signings we’ve had in ages. 2 year deal development club lol.
All clubs have plodders, my point was we brought in plenty of dross when we had better talent already at the club. What does that say about a club that wants to be labeled a development club?? Hands is a perfect example we are lucky he never chucked the shits and went elsewhere.
