What’s stopping any club doing it? The rules are the same for every club. But if it’s in writing it goes on the cap (ie josh Jackson)

The NRL stopping clubs doing it.... there is a % they can't go under their current value And 1.1 vs 800k is a fair size difference..

His current value is what he’s getting paid now, which from all reports is 800ish. He’s not taking less than that. He’s prob taking slightly more. Just because a desperate club offers overs doesn’t mean that’s what 16 other clubs have to pay.

He is actually on 900k So if you want to take salary cap increase and inflation into that..

I don't really care though it's shit that clubs can sign players for unders and if you are fine with clubs doing it good for you.

If only they had launched an investigation over our signing of Hodgson.

"Dear NRL

We are concerned that the Parramatta Eels recruitment team may be suffering a collective brain injury or abusing methamphetamine based on their decision to offer now former Raider and present day disability pension recipient Joshua Hodgson a contract for 2023 and potentially 2024.

While we take no delight in Joshua's decline and wish him all the very best with his future endeavours, we are concerned there may be a gas leak or similar clouding good judgement at Eels HQ. If there is anyone living 5-7 minutes drive away, we encourage them to investigate ASAP.

Best
Ricky and the Raiders"

There’s much less pressure in the lower grades. This means their ability to handle it can’t be judged until they get there, I’ll give you the hot tip.
The good ones can catch them whatever the circumstances and whatever grade they are in you silly merkin. Russell is on the long list of reserve grade standard players we have in our so called “squad”

D.Brown took atleast 250k less then what Dolphins would of thrown. He probably had more chance of a title there tbh
Probs didn't want to leave Sydney and live in Brisbane.

Also the Bennett factor is overblown. He is handing the reins over to Kristian Woolf in 2025 so the lure of playing under Bennett is not really there he would have only got 12 months.

Serious question. When was the last time we signed a gun player from another club. Whilst I think Wighton is a very good signing he's not exactly going to be playing 1 or 6. He will be playing centre. I don't think you pay centres around $1m...
So souffs will be paying both centres about $800k plus. (Wighton and Graham)
Then you have Latrell, Walker, Cook, Burgess, Tatola, Kolomatongi, Arrow, Cam Murray
Something doesn't quite smell right here

Ilias wouldn't be that cheap either. No young gun halfback is.
