Both of them are killing it this year
I wouldn’t say they’re killing it, but we wouldn’t be in this position had we kept those two players

I don't disagree with anything you have said there... There's been a few games that Moses and brown didn't stand up and we waited too long to throw the ball around and have a crack. We aren't that bad though. Just not icing them moments, Which is the real concern so yep to an extent I agreei get all that and hindsight is wonderful. but we dont use Murchie, Doorey or Mimoisa (even when RCG is out), i know there is more too it than that in regards to filling your top 30. i'm just frustrated.
there is a few thoughts floating in my head lately - would be interested to hear opinions
1. Moses is a great player, especially when we are on the front foot. But he goes missing most of the time when the chips are down. he has flare and can create something from nothing, but so can our 5/8. i am worried we are spending a lot of money on a long term contract with someone who can take you far, but not all the way. Moses will never control a game like Cleary or Reynolds or to a lesser extent, Hughes and Ben Hunt. i think they are the types of players you need to win a GF.
2. Our 10 year game plan will never be a success until BA improves his bench rotations and plays RCG and Gary Barlow for shorter minutes. more importantly, our chase the collision and run hard plan will not succeed whilst our backline includes, Sivo, Russell, Dunster and Simonnsen. None of them have the power to make yards out of our end.
3. impact players - we dont use the ones we have. we just use our toilers because supposedly they miss less tackles. its not always all about stats. i have been really impressed with cartwright this year, he has a mistake in his game but he also has the ability to create. the other player who i though showed aggression in defence and constantly bent the line was Doorey - where the f*** is he?
I came away after the Newcastle game still feeling disappointed - i felt like we should have scored 60+ points. we blew so many chances.
we just plod. our backs are soft. our forwards aren't scary or aggressive. our backs and our edge rarely move together at pace. if Brown or Moses dont fire we are basically stuffed.

But as a supportive base we ask for improvement each year... Had we thrown overs at them two we don't get hopgood. It's very unfair to say in hindsight that Mahoney and papalii would of improved our position this year. I was over Mahoney last year throwing flat passes nearly every attacking set that led to a try maybe 1% of the time and our halves weren't getting the ball. Hodgson hasn't been good I know that but I thought he was good against Canberra... I might be optimistic but I think hodgson can be very good for us with smarter football than Mahoney playedI wouldn’t say they’re killing it, but we wouldn’t be in this position had we kept those two players

Haha I read everything and just shake my head sometimes... I actually admire @Poupou Escobar for having the composure to keep on arguing his point. Yes we all will disagree on things but at the end of the day I've been a parra supporter as long as I remember and unfortunately I was born in 82 so can't remember 86 hahaDo u even LU dude?
You have no clue what we have offered him, or what the tigers are willing to pay.Now we are offering nothing more than a decent first grade stupid money.
nah, he just needed to use a few merkins and analeds and maybe f**ken rabbit in his post.would that be the opposite to defending the clubs/coaches decisions, even the ones that are diabolical, at all costs?
Dude he’s shit. He’s just average.I can only assume a few in here haven’t been watching Joe Ofa play. He’d walk into our 17 and improve us. Personally I’d be surprised if Wests facilitate the deal.
He definitely isnt value. Assuming he is on 500-600K surely we could do better. By the time it went thru we would be close to Reg coming back. We need a big fast hard running outside back.Dude he’s shit. He’s just average.
We are never better off doing that. We should be trying to win every game.we may be better off writing this season off effectively
Wow and they would have cost exactly the same too.We signed a 3 times crippled geriatric to replace an up and on the rise DH star.
My little birds tell me we want to pay him more than Papali'i is on at the Tigers! Ofahengaue was like "I just want to get paid what I'm worth" and were like "Nup! We have $800k left in the cap and it's all yours buddy!" Because we are famous for throwing overs at everyone. So Parra who were happy to lowball Papa after his amazing season in 2021 are happy to blow the cheque book on a journeyman forward who is getting squeezed out at the powerhouse that is the West Tigers???
Another middle to “ChAsE dA CoLlSiOn”
Only at Parramatta!
Why would he agitate for a release? Because he didn't realise the Tigers overpay and underperform? He left for big money and he knows if he came back he wouldn't be getting it because we are cheapskates. For this year anyway..
Imagine Ice agitated for a release but the Tigers let Joe go early to the Eels... I would not be a happy boy.
Then why is he playing worse?Imagine being paid what you are worth after your previous employer offered you 1/2 of what you are worth. Might make you feel valued......Imagine that.
It's not Arthur with the checkbook for this exact reason. We have a recruitment and retention committee.I'm worried he is throwing money wherever can just to bolster the squad so they don't finish to low amd risk his job while no real care about the long term plan for the club.
Because he wanted more than he's worth.lets say $250k for mimoisa (spelling) and $400k for Ofahengaue. why didnt we just keep Ice?
They are if they're paying the imaginary sums you merkins dream up. No wonder you hate them.Baldy and his recruitment guru's are dumb.
