I think it’s what’s best for his development because regardless of his talent, our fans will always criticise him unfairly or judge him extra harshly due to his father.

This is true. Imagine the family discussion and tears. The kid was an eels ball boy and the coach had to let his best backup half free for his personal health / development Now the club is left with Rankin or Yates (??) as 7 next week and we're cactus if Moses or Brown go down in the future.

I think it’s best for all concerned that he leaves and forges his own path away from his father. I don’t think he should of been on the bench last year, I thought he was rushed through because of his last name but I do wish him well and hope he can go on and have a decent career. Oh I’m a terrible person because I don’t think he should have been picked ffs!!

Always hated the bench selection, never hated the player.

Having a 5-10min cameo half on the bench was poor for the kid's own development (missing the experience of leading a team around in reggies), and it didn't really serve the team's interests as much as having another forward or threequarter/utility there would have.

Hope Jake develops his game well a bit further from the spotlight.

He's kind of decent with his kicking/ passing. I think his running game will always be a problem with his lack of acceleration and top line speed.

Poor kid NEEDED to get out of Parra, if only to escape the boo-birds.
