I read that as well and I thought that it was a tad unfair, cos as far as these forums were concerned, we had huge hopes for Stefano.

Our resident tiger expert @Tiger5150 has stated before that the family didn't like the way the club handled his brother's injury.

Probably some merit and truth to it.

I am sure if his brothers incident happened at the Tigers they would have done a better job. As the Tigers have always treated club legends, coaches & players with the utmost respect and care. So i am that filters down to the juniors.

If you are quality now at the Tigers, you can pretty much say anything and still hold the club to ransom.

He and his family focus on the money side of it too much to get low balled by the Tigers.

But yes, very stupid thing to say since it isn't true and we gave him his debut at Parra. But obviously he and his family wanted it to happen even sooner, from what we were hearing at the time. Goes to show that there is still some ill feeling between him and our club. Also might have something to do with his brother too. Anyway, it looks like he is lost to us.

Pity because he is by far the best forward we have produced in around ten years, which in itself is pretty disgusting even for a middle tier club like ours.

From what I read between lines at the time, they basically wanted us to take care of Filia as well despite him never being able to play again. I feel sorry for Filia but you don’t hold the club to ransom over it when he probably didn’t have any great transferable skills and probably the remuneration expectations weren’t in line with reality.
