It's criminal that it hasn't been addressed is so long. It should be the number one thing any coach is striving to get right above all and everything else in the game.

That was a case of signing players on potential. Every club does it. Sometimes it's revealed the potential wasn't actually there but more likely is the player's immaturity is irreparable and he will never reach his potential. Then there's the times where the player is just a f**kwit and a risk to the club's reputation, even if the work ethic is present.

I fail to see how this disproves my point that players can play well one year then worse the next.

What could happen is a small part of what is likely to happen.

But they still should consider it.

Umm… probably the bloke I’ve said a million times so far Lukah Morretisea.

Well he outplayed AMS in reserve grade, who was himself poor in his sole NRL game. But at only 20 years old, and presumably with some potential, it was nice to be able to reward him against a weak opponent.

And yet he showed more in that one game than Moimosea did in all his. I don’t think he was outplayed in reserves either. I’d have him where Moimosea was at the start of the year in terms of ranking for similar reasons Moimosea got the place originally.

It already did. While we had a bunch of backrowers unavailable, he was in the NRL team.

This was due to as you said unavailability but also salary cap rules. And I already said at the start of season, he was top 30 quality. He has physical attributes that are worth giving him a go. Unfortunately it became apparent he has other attributes which affected his performance. And those weaknesses meant Davey was brought in, Hands was brought in and Moretti proved himself which pushed Moimosea further and further down the list.
