His contract doesnt start to 2025 am i right.AFB $1m per season for 4 years. Will be 33 when contract concludes. Clubs throwing themselves at him.
I reckon we are missing the punch not trying to move Barlow on. At $950 per season hed need to triple his output from last season to be worth that. I reckon the smart thing would be to get in early.
Maybe we are?
Probably not.
Yeah agree i personally think the amount of football he played in 2022 the petrol tank was low this year. Like he played what 35 games the previous season. That's a shitload amount of games for a front rower who plays 50 plus minutes getting bashed up on the body.Barlows output definitely needs to be better but doesn't have to be as a result of last year...
He probably needs to re-invent the wheel and just focus on the quality side of his game.

He averaged 147m per game last season. Broke the 200m mark 3 times. You get a good share of posession, jnr is going to dominate.
My only issue would be his weight and mobility in defense.
But the idea that we should move him on, imo is jt crazy. Definitely one of our better players.
Wish Id have chosen the T Shirt. Just got my packs and got a bonus pack thrown in. No additional members entry card though. Should I return it or keep it as an investment given we will win the comp in 24?I got the t Shirt as well, its pretty f**king bright, it will certainly stand out in a crowd
Agreed and with less minutes or more breaks.Barlows output definitely needs to be better but doesn't have to be as a result of last year...

Are we getting any good or effective on field leadership in return for that "tax". Observations of last season's performance would suggest the return on value for that is diminishing.
The only reason you would ever move him on is if there was a viable cost effective option. That had just as good or better leadership qualities.
I do believe he is a bit overpaid - however the market for props and his form at the time demanded we pay top $$$
We can't forget there is definitely a bit of "leadership tax" in the Paulos Salary.
Stats padding. He more often than not did that half assed run up turn side on at impact and be dominated. No leg drive and slow ptb. His best game was after Trelmit turtled him and ripped the ball out. Embarrassment had him fire up finally. Needs to fire up every game. I saw sfa leadership in matches last season. He averaged 147m per game last season. Broke the 200m mark 3 times. You get a good share of posession, jnr is going to dominate.

I don't like talking value in player contracts cause at the end of the day we don't know exactly how much he is on. Could be anywhere from 800 to 950k.
But but but we don’t pay overs.I only go off what the media speculate. Not saying it is accurate. However at the time of contract renewal and all things considered it would not surprise me if he is on 950kish
Yep he sure pads those stats against minnows such asStats padding.
He topped 200m verse Penrith, south's and the sharks last year. Was 4m off 200m verse storm. 175m verse the second game verse Penrith. Definately puts in verse the top teams.

Unless you're talking about poetry, you do realise verse isnt a word right? He topped 200m verse Penrith, south's and the sharks last year. Was 4m off 200m verse storm. 175m verse the second game verse Penrith. Definately puts in verse the top teams.
