I asked for bigger forwards with skill, bigger than what we had at the time (Alvaro, Mannah). Now the game has changed slightly again where smaller mobile forwards are the flavour of the month. But imo bigger forwards have a role and skilful forwards are a way to disrupt well organised defenses. Our pack is amongst the best but more importantly is probably the most skilful of the lot.

Its why we should have put Jnr on the chopping block. Opportunity lost I reckon

He was a great junior. The laughter is more about how we are so garbage at developing these talented players.

He was bog average in NSW cup too. Going well in juniors means SFA if you can’t produce it against adults. This wasn’t Parra’s fault. None of the other 15 NRL clubs seemed to be able to develop him either.

Lyon scored 15 tries and played in a grand final at 19. Not many centres are that good so early in their career. I believe Talagi turns 19 this year, and he is our most promising outside back. He will be lucky to play half a dozen games this year, though I expect him to debut.

Davis had only played three games in reserve grade by the time he was 20.

I'm just stating that we all hype up juniors. That includes myself. I've been raving about Morretti but how good is he really going to be?
Many of these next batch of juniors will never be heard of in 2yrs time or will be poached by other clubs.

He is looking very fit. Lets give him the benefit of the doubt.
BA needs to tell him run first and offload 2nd. Whe JNR is playing well this is what he does. But to often in 23 he wanted to pass first and run 2nd. Was a real pain in arse

Speaking of origin. I find it funny that we complained about not getting an origin bye, so they gave us one this year but we will be lucky to have anyone picked - Hopgood or Moses (if Cleary is injured) maybe.

Hopefully he doesn’t end up in the Alvaro/Allgood level. I agree with you about Oregon Kaufusi. He is ordinary.

Funny how team success affects player perception. I would've said Junior had a down year. But compared to 22 he increased tackle breaks, stayed roughly similar for metres gained, offloads and tackle efficiency. But was down on PCM. So on the whole very similar year numbers wise as 22.

The team had very different years with 5 other forwards playing 20 games or more when in 23 only 2 other forwards played 20 or more.

So what. Stats mean shit. Some times players have great stats but zero impact.
Junior on 800k+ was garbage and no better then when Emu played.

stats are a useful measure of performance, its not the only measure but they definitely tell a story.

juniors wage is a reflection of his career and standing in the game. Emu hasnt done much yet, maybe one day.

Clarifying your statements is God's work. You should be proud of yourself.

Unfortunately you got the causal relationship bass ackwards. You think your club was shit because you had a shithouse board and staff. I'm telling you it's the other way around. Clubs get the management they deserve. Richardson is a proven operator but clubs he was previously successful at didn't get any less successful after he left. Meanwhile you've had premiership capable coaches at your club for the past seven years and haven't even made the finals.

And don't think I'm throwing shade here. Hagan and Stuart were premiership winners elsewhere yet at Parramatta Hagan achieved less than Brad Arthur, and Stuart had a worse record than Steven Kearney.
