Well let’s face it after 10 years we all know Bea Arthur has absolutely no clue about it defence. No offence, but he lost all credibility with the "Harper is a defensive centre".
He had that one horrendous game and now everyone thinks that’s him and reflects his best.
he’s average, but he’s not horrible, and I don’t think defensively he actually is that bad aside from that horrible game.
Our defensive cohesion as a team may not be great, but BA has proven he can improve individual players defence quite well
I'm glad it only took five minutes to find the bit where they stopped moving in defence. We looked pretty good until then.Unless it's the last 5 mins I am not watching that shit again. Saw it live was enough.
To be fair he does play 80 minutes in the middle and is very involved in attack. Yeo is a great defender. As bad as Ices defence is I think if you took Yeo out of the Panthers and put him any where else he would be rated behind Ice in attack and defence.
He let in 3 tries during the GF last year...
Lateral movement for someone who runs sideways alot and started as a winger/centre is poor.
Yea, strange comment. It's the weakest part of his game.No offence, but he lost all credibility with the "Harper is a defensive centre".
You're right but is he going to improve the team doing either of those things? He can play in the halves if needed & potentially a lock role in the middle.
He is. Just like Shakira's hips, the numbers don't lie. That game against Talakai was an outlier. No offence, but he lost all credibility with the "Harper is a defensive centre".
It’s not strange when you consider who said it. Absolute potato.Yea, strange comment. It's the weakest part of his game.
It must of been the long drive to the game that tired the players out huh???I'm glad it only took five minutes to find the bit where they stopped moving in defence. We looked pretty good until then.
Well Matto had to fuel up his car driving to Homebush. It must of been the long drive to the game that tired the players out huh???
I’d be interested in getting opinions from opposition supporters on our team rather than live in an echo chamber.Seriously, why are you on here mass debating so often, is the Tigpies forum as boring as it seems. You are bordering on TSP level of wtf.
Yep, it’s refreshing hearing different points of view. As opposed to the no matter what the club did the right thing hey @IncorrectI’d be interested in getting opinions from opposition supporters on our team rather than live in an echo chamber.
Defence is one of his strong points already.Just to answer a few questions I’ve seen on Talagi. He has bulked up a fair bit this off-season, also looking much fitter as he didn’t have a pre season last year due to injury. He came in to the Ball team half way through the year. His defence will definitely have to improve, though his bigger size will help him with that. He trained a fair bit at fullback before the Christmas break but as I’m hearing he’s started to train in multiple positions such as centre, 5/8 and even a touch at a lock hybrid role. I believe we could see him even start out off the bench at some point. But his best shout would be at centre. From what I’ve heard he’s almost a certainty to get a debut this year in some capacity. A few other juniors should get a start also
Had an interesting note from the mother of Jordan Hill who joined Parra from WestsTigers this season after having a terrible run with injuries over the past couple of years. The kid CAN play, so hopefully he can get through with an injury free run.
Got this from Jordan Hill's mum.
I asked her " Is Jordy back in full training yet. Is he going OK? "
Stacey replied Pretty much back to normal. Sees the surgeon again in 3 weeks for a return to full contact. He’s loving it and Parramatta are very professional and hands on.
The surgeon is saying round 2 or 3 for him
He hasn’t lost much speed which is a blessing! He has been in the top 3 in all the testing
Me - Looking forward to him becoming an Eel. Hope he has some LUCK with his injuries.
