Payne Haas and Latrell Mitchell were the 2 players who didn't turn up to the NSW camp this week. No surprise 2 blokes who have let NSW down previously.

Payne Haas especially has done SFA for NSW for 4 years now I am baffled why he is always a walk up start. All padded up stats with stuff all impact and aggression.

I wouldn't pick him anyway Reg, Jurbo and one the one of the saifiti twins showed in game 3 that Payne haas isn't required to win an origin game.

Still no front row and they won't get any backup from Kikau with the hard stuff which means King, Preston and Curran are doing the bulk of the work. The fix is apparent to sign Suluka-Fifita from Souths who probably won't be available until May. They have Sutton, Patolo, Sam Hughes, Liam Knight and Kautoga listed as there front rowers. Meanwhile they have 9 halves listed in their 30 man squad....
Suluka-Fifita has been at 2 good clubs so far and failed to do much despite his big frame. Might shine in a poor roster but that really doesn't equate to much upside on what he has achieved so far. Doesn't fix much for the Dogs that I can see.

This is bang on for our starting line up.

Yes agree except expect Lussick over Hands but all the rest are spot on imo. However the starting team will be Greig over Junior imo with him coming on after 20-25mins. Plenty of impact in that bench and hoping BA is sensible in his rotations this year.

Last year he kept the starters on far too long which blunted their impact. Case in point Hodgson was gassed after 20 mins at beginning of year, it was obvious to see by all except BA apparently, which led to tries being scored against him. Also RCG played unchanged for 40 mins regularly and Junior for 35 mins which blunted their impact.

With regular rotations the forwards should remain fresh and able to maintain pressure on the opposition leading to more wins against the good teams. We have the forwards now so why not use them to their full potential.

Throw the leagues club at the Clearys as a package deal - get the father, and son, and sell them on how great their legacy would be, taking this underperforming club, to a Premiership....

Man, that was one sweet dream. Too bad I had to wake up.

Wonder if Gus would do that at the Dogs. Already has half the Penrith team there but doubt he'd swallow his pride and admit that he got it wrong when at Penrith.
