I’m sure they have contacts. I’m saying they are reporting sloppily, to stir up the fans. We’re cashed up! We’ll sign some mad merkin (who is already contracted) before round one!!! It’s fantasy land. Stop reading rugby league news. It makes you dumbos dumber.

Oh please you sound like a girl who's just rambling on with half truths and falsehoods in some incoherent jumbled soup of nonsense just to win the argument.

Makes you sound dumber then a dumbo emotional girl.

I get why BA uses forwards a lot, because if the game is on the line, I think I’d prefer Junior on over Greig. But I think this year with Matterson, Hopgood, Ofahengaue along with Greig & Tuilagi I think we’ll see extended rotations. Have to remember sometimes that we used to really only have Niukore on bench as a capable first grader.

And with the “nice guy” routine it’s definitely a double edged sword. I think we’re definitely given a bit of extra leniency but the tipping point is a sheer cliff into penalty after penalty
we being nice guys but then getting lots of weeks with suspensions.

I get why we dont want to be flopping or lying all over the tackled player. But we really should copy the panfers.

The hold the player up and drag them back and it wastes alot of time for the attacking player.

There was a game we did that to the panfers (i think 2022) and beat them.. However, no other game did we repeat that defensive attitude.

I dont see why if the panfers can do it, why cant we copy it.

Bringing in Sanders to replace Moses will certainly not guarantee a premiership unless he is (NRL) elite at his young age. Drown I would not consider moving on as so much upside despite some underwhelming performances so far. With a bit more maturity he should become more consistent.

Sanders is probably elite amongst his young peer group but as regards NRL halves comparison down towards the bottom. You also have the possibility that he could go off the rails before establishing himself which has happened to many a young NRL player in the past, and Parra certainly haven't been immune to this. It usually takes years in the NRL to become elite and atm Moses would be in the top 5 imo (certainly top 2 for NSW).

Regarding forward rotation hopefully this year we have enough punch off the bench that BA doesn't leave the starters on too long as he has in the past. Last year there were times the starters were gassed (if I could see it surely they could) and should have been substituted much earlier and this cost us games. Also the rediculous tactic of getting off the tackled players quickly led to ref bias imo. What I mean is that if we didn't get off quickly they would blow penalty/6 again because of the perception that we were holding down. Hope this has been replaced with more holding down to get our defensive line reset.

Let's hope he doesn't put Grieg and Jnr on the field at the same time. That was moronic

But also except for shitting ourselves and being f**ked over by trainers in finals, we’re the only team that’s regularly troubled Smugs

We basically laid all over them in the last game last year and look at what happened. They were clueless inside our 20m zone despite having 50 more tackles inside the 20m zone then what we did.

Also (& Hodgson copped a lot of flak over this) we usually do push the envelope early in games. Try and set the expectations early and cop an early penalty for testing how long we can hold them for

You are ffs!!!

Except only 16 are actually needed. We see this often, including in grand finals. The Storm won in 2020 with Hynes spending 80 minutes on the bench.

This means that final bench spot is for whatever the coach wants, including unused (in a tight game) injury cover. Or a reserve grader who tries his best and deserves a ten minute reward in first grade.

Given so many modern players can play long minutes, and the fact that plenty of clubs don’t have 17 first graders available in a given week, there’s no point giving decent minutes to every bench merkin for the sake of it. Ryan Matterson’s 65th minute is better than Moretti’s tenth. It’s a simple equation.

Well technically only 13 are needed because you only need 13 on a field at a time... so maybe BA will let me sit on the bench because I've earnt it for wasting 30 years of my life following this mob.

If he wants to run 4x forwards off the bench that is fine but he has to have a roll for them to play. Having one of them play 0-15 minutes just to give them a run makes NO sense, as you have pointed out you are already trusting your other 'gun' forwards to play big minutes so why have someone there to catch a cold.

If you are going to have someone on the bench in case of an injury or you need to change something up on the field doesn't it make sense to have a second hooker/utility (like Nicho as you pointed out above) then just another one dimensional forward? If they aren't needed its still not an overly balanced 17 but at least there is purpose there.

Anyways I'm not going to argue with you any further, I read enough of this forum to know that you argue more than my Misses.

We should have given up after round 17 in 2009.
We were coming third last at the time.
Whatever round we lost to Cronulla at home in the pissing down rain that year who were on a 12 game losing streak was almost the lowest of lows you can get as a fan.

I went home almost embarrassed to be a parra fan night.

How on earth we recovered 3 months later and made a GF was truly incredible.

Us fans deserved a fairytale finish that year instead we copped a cheating scumbag club in the GF who still haven't shown any remorse since for what they did.

Was a great run at the end of the year. It felt great to come back from basically nothing.

However, I'll take the 2001 season (minus the GF) any day over that. We were breaking records that year. So much fun.
01 was unbelievable. I went to almost every game that season. I was like a crazed fan...but the way it ended was devastating. At the GF, I remember a complete stranger coming up to me as I was waiting for drinks at halftime in line at the canteen at the stadium, and putting an arm around me and telling me it's OK...it's only a game....I guess for him to single me out like that must have been cause I looked like I was suicidal....it was a knightmare

I watched it with Dad. I dont think we said a word in the first half. The week before we attended the Brisbane semi final. If anyone watched a replay of that which I did recently we where woefull.Ian Hindmarsh dropped the ball aboutn7 times. Nervous. I had a bad feeling the bubble had burst seeing that game live.
