Blaze, Martin both have great potential and hopefully Dunster getting back to what he was are probably our best bets for depth. If they do come good then throw is Harper its not so bad.

Blaze and Martin have yet to play against Men and I have grave doubts that Dunster will even get back to the level he was at before his ACL.

we need that 30th spot to be someone of at least the same level as our starting outside backs.

If you look at us over the last few years (excluding last year) we've started well, been well up in points for and had good D in the beginning, and start to fall away as the year progresses.
This isn't true at all most years:

YearAfter round 6After round 12After round 18After round 24
202314th14th5th10th
20224th5th6th4th
20213rd5th4th6th
20202nd3rd4thOnly 20 rounds
20195th8th6th6th

I believe this is through fatigue where the starters play too many long minutes and as the year progresses they get burnt out.
Looks like you started with your belief (the coach doesn't know what he's doing but somehow you do) and fabricated memories to support it. Pretty common around here.

Yeah i cant wait for PNG to come in. Its going to be a disaster from an on-field point of view.

What elite players are going to waste there peak of there careers playing for them.

Put another team either in NZ - South Island (Christchurch) or Perth.
I read they will be based (training) in North Queensland, which is about as desirable as Christchurch. Closer to Brisbane and Sydney than Perth too.

I wouldn't be against Central Coast but i don't think they will ever be financially viable & have enough corporate dollars to have a rugby league team.
Bring the Bears back through the Cental Coast.

Runs hard. Seems to be a mad merkin.
Still young so might be a good long term signing

That try at 1:21 against us was embarrassing (for us, not him).

Also, why do all Rugby League highlight videos have terrible music playing through them?

Nine has quotes from an insider. Says that PNG are the preferred 18th team to keep China away. Thanks Captain Obvious.

What can you do ? Ignore it ? Dunno.

^^^
Plans for a secret multi-billion dollar Chinese port in Papua New Guinea will ensure the island nation gets the nod as the NRL's 18th franchise.

How did they find out of it was a secret ? Gotta love the media.

I don't ming PNG being the next franchise. We are currently at saturation level in Oz and I don't think we could handle another Dolphins as there aint enough NRL level players.

One thing about PNG, they will bring thier own players as its a whole new market. No doubt they will be shit over the first few years but they will build and become more professional if there is NRL mony available to them. Their World Cup performances are improving each time they play.

Could be a good move.

Provided it's not David Nofoaluma I would be happy with that....

Given Makatoa would give us an extra spot in the Top 30 squad that could still happen.
Didn’t you mention Trey Mooney in this thread last year? I’m pretty sure it was you.

We tried to sign Blake Wilson
And he decided to stay. Given the signing of Xerri, Crichton and others they will have a few juniors that will be looking around for a spot - Jordan Samrani and Jeral Skelton in particular IMO given they have locked up Kiraz and Wilson long term also.

Do we really want to sign a development back from another club when we have our own development backs ie Talagi/ Martin If we sign anyone it should be a real throbber who already knows what he is doing in the NRL playing department.

Some people here have boners for him but I’m not sold on Skelton

Skelton has had limited first grade exposure and went ok. It would be better to sign someone with more NRL experience for sure but if you know of any who are available as there really aren't a lot off contract or very near to.
